Jim Geraghty points out an unusual item from Reuters yesterday, in which the State Department announced that Hillary Clinton would not accompany Barack Obama to Moscow next week. The nation’s chief diplomat will stay home while Obama pursues nuclear reductions with Russia, one of his big diplomatic projects, one in which observers would presume that the Secretary of State would have substantial involvement:

I prefer brilliant side. :)

It is the only thing that makes sense about the czars so he can run his shadow government and not have to mess with the Clintonites in the cabinet. Ever hear of a President only having one cabinet meeting?

What might matter is a potential schism in the ranks of the enemy currently occupying Washington. If Clinton activates a center of political power to rival the White House, it could impede the agenda of the would-be Turd World dictator.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t Hitlery win MORE VOTES in the primaries...but lost the delegate number because of Super Delegatges, caucuses, and the “allocation” rules of the Socialist party?

exactly right, thats exactly how they shafted her. They gave more delegates to areas with big african american majorities. It was effectively a coup de’tat. example is Like when she won nevada and NH but got less delegates than him because of the concentration of delegates in AA neighbourhoods that he won.

As per Hillary’s way of doing things, this marriage, like her marriage with Bill, is a marriage of convenience, and political necessity.

I predicted way back that Hillary would break with Obama, would step down, then run against him in 2012.

I think the breaking point will be on the Middle East. Hillary cannot afford to throw Israel, and the jewish population of her “home state” of NY under the bus.
