Classic Glenn Beck Video to send to friends at link, Schiff quotes from clip:
Its a tax. We are kicking an economy when its down. The last thing we need is a new tax, especially one as expensive to enforce and administer as this tax. And what really bothers me is they dont really have the specifics of the bill they are passing. They are giving the EPA a blank check. Didnt they learn anything from TARP? Who knows what these guys will come up with.
Its kicking us in the groan. Its going to hurt OUR industry the most. And at a time when we really have to start producing more, making more products and being globally competitive and exporting . This is a GIANT tax on productivity and production. Companies might actually go out of business just to sell their carbon credits
If the economy was in sound shape then maybe we could make an argument that we can afford it. But we are already broke. We are already suffering from all the meddling of the past. Its just one incompetent program after another. They destroyed the economy and now they are doing this and all their health care plans. Not looking at reality.
If you realize both parties in Washington think our money is theirs and you trust them to do the wrong thing, this list is for you.
If you think there is a Santa Claus who is going to get elected in Washington and cut a few taxes and spend a few trillion and jump start the economy, and get our lost money back, this list is not for you.

Very good. Productivity rises when US citizens own their retirement instead of the government owning it.
