Like much of the country, you may have spent your time last week snickering about the peccadilloes of yet another hapless politician who couldn’t keep his pants zipped. Or maybe you were captivated by the untimely but predictable passing of the most talented musical freak of the last quarter century. Perhaps while watching the ABC-Barack Obama dog-and-pony show purporting to deal with the future of your health care system, you were deceived into thinking that this was the big issue of the week. If so, you would be wrong. Make no mistake, it is on the agenda, but the real threat of the moment was simmering up on Capitol Hill in the United States House of Representatives.
Far too many Americans were distracted by other things to notice that on Friday, June 26, 211 House Democrats and 8 Republicans defiantly thumbed their noses at the will of their constituents and passed the largest tax increase in the nation’s history.
The “Cap-and-Trade” bill will likely kill two or three real jobs for every so-called green job it creates. If this bill passes the Senate, the president’s signature will make it the law of the land. If that happens, look for your utility bills to increase by fifty percent. Expect gasoline to rise to last summer’s levels and above. Count on the cost of food, clothing and anything else affected by fuel prices -- in other words, everything -- skyrocketing.

They plan to put us under the UN, which will effectively negate our sovereignty and Constitution without a vote, because International Institutions will take precedence. How? By signing onto global entities and initiatives and having Dem Congress rubber stamp them.
"O" really thinks he can lead the whole world, and in so doing, give the middle class of the US its due--i.e. destroy it. He nievely believes the Arab countries and dominant Communist countries will welcome him as leader. What they will welcome is the spoils of our superior economy."o" they will laugh at and continue to despise the West and US in particular.

Many of the “green” ideas are laudable but it really should be up to the homeowner, not the government. Sustainable design comes in many forms. Unilock, for instance, has a new use for its pavers which promotes better drainage (less use of sewer systems) to aquifers; the design requires replacing sand with gravel for more efficient drainage.
Over ten years ago, a client wanted a low-maintenance “sustainable” roof in lieu of the popular cedar shake type common along Chicago’s North Shore suburbs. We specified a metal roof that has withstood high winds, hail, thunderstorms, and standing snow. In addition, despite “fire reistant” claims, a number of cedar roofs have caught fire. The metal roof, which replicates a Spanish tile design, still looks good and can be recycled as scrap metal when it’s replaced.
When considering life-cycle cost, solar panels for power are still very expensive. I have a “flat” roof and used a single-ply modified bitumen material manufactured by GAF. The material’s white granular aggregate supposedly reflects some of the sunlight but it still gets hot on the third floor under the roof. I had the original built-up roof removed and hauled away so the dumpster rental and hauling cost quite a bit - total of $10,000 in 1993. Your $10,000 roof sounds like a good deal.

I'm not as certain of that happening as youi are. He seems to have everyone scared to death of him or bought and paid off..like the Unions and nationalized banks, car manufacturers and soon to come ..doctors and healthcare workers. All he needs now is the illegal aliens to support him with the Amnesty Bill.
