Over the past five months Michelle Obama has basked in some of the most flattering reviews ever earned by an American first lady. Yet the first stirrings of discontent are beginning to surface as President Barack Obama’s wife emerges from her newly installed White House vegetable garden in search of a meatier political role.
Reports last week that she is seeking to expand her influence in her husband’s administration set alarm bells ringing among Democratic veterans.
Despite denials from White House officials that Michelle Obama is suffering from “Hillary-itis” — a burning desire to help her husband run the country — her long-running interest in healthcare has raised painful memories of 1994, when Hillary Clinton presided over a political debacle as her health reform proposals collapsed in Congress.
As a Harvard-educated lawyer and a former hospital administrator from Chicago, Michelle Obama has been dealing with the shortcomings of US healthcare for much of the past decade.
Yet since her husband became president in January she has mostly steered clear of the contentious debate over the soaring costs of treatment, insurance and care for the poor.
Instead she has emerged as a fashion icon, a model mother and a symbol of African-American achievement. The angry black woman who once suggested she had not been proud of her country until her husband ran for president has since been hailed as the most glamorous first lady since Jackie Kennedy.

I didn't call anyone a racist.
The words posted with the image are clear, 'She should just make more pancakes!' - suggesting that the current 1st lady has stepped outside her role, in ways none before her have tread. That is not a racist suggestion. It is more an opinion that the 1st lady should refocus her efforts.
Had the words posted with the picture been racist, it would have been yanked on sight.

Sheesh pancakes aren’t racist. This being PC thing is going off the charts ridiculous. It’s not like he said watermelon and fried chicken. Pancakes don’t mean Aunt Jemimah anymore than waffles do.
I don’t understand people who can, with a straight face, insist that there are no racial overtones to using a picture of “Aunt Jemima” to represent the First Lady. “What? It’s just pancakes? Doesn’t everyone love pancakes? It’s just a completely non-racial way of saying she should concentrate on doing other things. Things like making pancakes. Really.”

Michelle has more experience in health care than ZerO or Hillary.

As annoying as people who cry “Racist!” at things that are not racist... are people who cry “PC!” when things clearly are racist.
People don’t vote for a dual presidency, they vote for one person.Unless she is appointed to a cabinet position or some other government job she has no role in the WH, just as Hillary didn’t have a role. The voters shut Hill down in a hurry, and I believe they will do it again, even the dimwits don’t want the wife being co-President, not to mention it isn’t legal.

The current Aunt Jemima without the slave scarf on her hair or around her neck ala Gone with the Wind, would have been more acceptable.
I want Michelle involved at the very highest levels of government. The more exposure the better. Release her from her phalanx of handlers and eyebrow trimmers. Because if Michelle is front and center, she will open her mouth frequently, and sink the Administration with her true racist views.

I agree. This PC nit picking is stupid. BO can talk about “dem white folk” in his book, and how his pal(father?) frank Marshall Davis warned him about white folk, MO can do the same but it’s completely off limits for us. I call BS. They are mean, racist, nasty people out to destroy our country and take from us to give retributions to the blacks, for something we had nothing to do with. That was generations ago, we didn’t do it. I KNOW I read an article where Michelles’ idea of health care was to send them away from her hospital if they couldnt pay.

Indeed! She had a token pay to play job and was in it for one thing...........to run the system so that she got lot of money. They are greedy, despicable people.
I’d love to know what the person who took her job at that hospital (if the vacancy was ever filled) is paid.
