Passes 219-212, 8 Repuiblicans for it could have killed it. 3 not voting.
.......and jeopardize those same 8 pubs in their districts. The best we can hope for is a strong pub candidate winning in a primary, in which case we lose the advantage of incumbency. If any of those 8 run as incumbents, the seat will likely go to the rat. Conservatives are in no mood to brook still more cowardly candidates.
So this weakness screwed up 16 seats. Rats should have been forced into voting for it as much as possible. These 8 pubs really set us back. They are a perfect example of what is wrong with pubs. COWARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I despise them.
Only pubs have to follow the rules or suffer consequences. Rats never do. Most likely the only reason the Macks have been left alone by the media is that they’re afraid to throw stones at glass houses.
I knew about Wexler but not the NY guy.
As far as rats making up the rules as they go along and only enforcing them against pubs, today Conyers decided to just drop the investigation against ACORN. I don’t know if that decision had something to do with his wife’s guilty plea in Detroit corruption charges. Actually, she was guilty of dozens of violations, but only copped to one and is awaiting sentencing. I just wonder if ACORN was somehow involved in that case and came through for Monica, so Conyers dropped the charges against them. Or, more likely, he was just giving the pubs the finger.
Oh, I forgot. My question about the Macks being separated was more rhetorical/facetious/sarcasm. Nevertheless, I appreciate your reply and the info.
Just one other thing for your clarification: CO Congresswoman Betsy Markey is not the same Markey who partnered with Waxman to author the bill at issue. That’s Ed Markey from MA, an old ward heeler professional rat from way back. He’s been in congress forever.
At this point, I have zero confidence in the democratic process. It has become the Democratic process.
Very well said, you are exactly right. The Blue Dogs who voted for this bill will be defeated in 2010.
Absolutely right...Don't just call your Congress critter, be sure to flood the phones, faxes, and mailboxes of those at the GOP headquarters. Enough is enough already.
This’n’s like all ‘union legislation’....just gonna lose more jobs...perhaps more than all others combined. will be the new poster child for ‘I’m from the government, and I’m here to help’ Mantra for de-funding the federal government, once and for all.
doesn't matter...gives us a 219 crook target rich opportunity for 2010.
It pains me to disagree, but I think the giant is dead.
thanks...I love when I get lectured here about how ALL costs are passed on by raising prices like just snapping yer fingers
that is just textbook myth
>Hopefully it will die in the senate.<
I can’t see that happening now.
They will pass it because zero wants it bad
They’re just keeping the “CON” in Congress!
