BEWARE!! This is NOT what it seems to be. It is a production that is steeped in Norman Lehrer, the man who actively works against religion in any form. They have intentionally adopted the language to use as their own, only to redefine what those words mean. What strikes me is that this isn’t the way Americans solve problems. Singing whiny songs about the government not doing enough for them. As for Mr. Lear’s claims that Religion and politics should be separate that is just another way of him saying that religious people should not vote their conscience or their beliefs. How else could any believing person of any faith vote? Should a Christian vote for public thievery, hedonism, killing the unborn and the elderly? I do not know of any religion Christian or otherwise that would support such things yet we have Christians who vote for such things and don’t even realize that they are betraying their faith and their country.
Norman Lear is a traitor to the American Way of Life and cheapens it.

AND..., I also immediately saw that the phrase “born again America” obviously wasn’t being used in the way that a lot of Bible folks recognize it from what the Bible says. It was obvious because I noted *two* singers who really *could not say that* — unless the meaning was different and that they knew it was different.
That was because I saw a Muslim singer and a Jewish singer — side-by-side, singing about a “born again” American... Obviously, they’re not talking about the *Biblical concept* are they... LOL...
How can an American be "Re-Born" unless it is into a traditional American hater?

It took the efforts of Director Mark Johnson of Playing for Change, Producer Brent Miller, and 16 performers and two choruses to bring Keith’s song to life in 14 iconic locations around the USA. The singers and musicians, non-professionals all, were chosen because they are living the lyrics in these troubled times, not just performing them.
And besides another couple of pages, that’s about it.
The other couple of pages has to do with you putting in your own comments to say whatever you want to, so other people can read it.
And then, they’ve got an e-mail section that you can fill in and “Tell your friends” about that website, so they can go there and tell others...
And that’s about it — the whole site...
BUT, you will notice that it does *redirect* people to the website of “People for the American Way”...
Well, ya know... I looked at it all, and except for the couple of reservations that I’ve already noted in this thread — there wasn’t too much else wrong with it, just from what they were saying...
But, of course, this website does direct people over to another website, for “further information” and I’m sure that it’s the *other information* that is the problem — and not this website so much.
It directs people over to “People for the American Way”....

There is an effort to get America “born again”, but this time, not as a representative republic, but as a democracy like they always somehow envisioned it, not the America as it was founded.

The name sounds dumb, and blasphemous, also. I had heard of this organization (even befor your information was first posted here last week), however I though (before I knew it was a liberal front-group): these peopele might be Ok, but they have taken a weird name, spiritually we must be “born again”, but one cannot be born-again as an ‘American’..it just sounded weird and convoluted?!
We can bring back the ‘Spirit of 76’..but unless you renounced your citizenship you cannot be ‘reborn’ (why choose that word?) as an American!?
