LOS ANGELES - Michael Jackson, defined in equal parts as the worlds greatest entertainer and perhaps its most enigmatic figure, was about to attempt one of the greatest comebacks of all time. Then his life was cut shockingly and so far, mysteriously short.

That’s a lyrical suicide note if I ever saw one! And kinda lame too.
Did you ever think the 18 million was paid as to NOT drag this out in the media like the OJ trial?
The left sure love their criminal, pedophiles, and other morally bankrupt entertainers, don't they. Farah Faucett is also being heralded for her contributions to society, which was the further degradation of women as mere sex objects. A true pioneer.
I know what you mean.
I think the standard I use is to look at the lyrics, without the crotch grabbing and child grabbing.
I think the last time I spent a nickel on the guy was in 1996. The jewel case for the Thriller CD acted as my nightstand coaster for a few years (dont really remember why, but when my glass of water sweat it was a good coaster.)
Personally, I would listen to Glen Miller over him most any day of the week, and it has always been that way. Glenn Miller died 15 years before I was born, so perhaps I am just weird too!
In any event, I dread the news for the next few weeks. All MJ All the time. It is going to suck.
Lloyds of London just lost a bundle. They insured this latest comeback. Which was never going to happen.
Of course. Shut up the witnesses, and you have no trial DUHHHH!
It certainly wasn't paid out to establish his innocence.
Icon of what exactly?
We listen to Medieval and Renaissance music to accompany our dinners that my husband finds on the internet. After that period, I like baroque music, then I jump up to folk music. I’m very limited. My husband teases me that should I ever become a contestant on Jeopardy, that if a category is modern culture of any type, that I know I’ll lose.
ROTFLMAO!!!
The family has announced that since Michael was already 90 percent plastic, they will be melting him into Legos so little boys can play with him for a change.
Hahaha! Thanks for a much-needed chuckle!
He was a unique, fascinating star... and the best entertainer to come along since Elvis. He gave his life to the public...may he rest in peace.””
Comparing this pervert to Elvis is a disgrace. Buying your way out of the molestation of children has nothing to do with justice. Clearly, he did not give his life—he was paid outrageous sums of money for singing and dancing and he thought he talent game him license for perversion.
Getting your reputation ripped to shreds after a life of hard work and dedication...publicly in the media...will certainly cause one to search for an alternative solution. An unfair trial would be a guarantee with a person such as Michael Jackson. Hence, the payoff. If you child was molested...would you take the money, or seek prosecution to the fullest extent?
Fools and their money...
A lot of black and white people suffer from this.
I suppose it will be another Princess Di moment.
Maybe they can get a bail out from Obama, or mitigate their losses by insuring Guns N' Roses next tour.
I am not into idol worship.
Good point, but other than the fact you know nothing about me, you certainly know enough about MJ.
I can't believe people here are surprised that MJ's unexpected death is dominating the news cycle. Talk about being out of touch! I mean, c'mon, did you really think that his death would be relegated to a scrolling blurb on the bottom of the screen? Of course this is huge news! We're a celebrity obsessed culture, like it or not.
Better steel yourself. MJ is going to dominate the news for the next three weeks. First, we're all going to await the toxicology reports. Then there will be the star-studded, lavish, televised funeral that will rival Princess Di's. After his burial, there will be the countless skeletons falling from his closets as all his associates spill the beans on his lifestyle. And on and on and on...
If congress or the president wants to enact some stealth legislation, now is the perfect time. The nation's attention will be focused elsewhere for a while.
