>> I always felt twinges of pity when I saw him.
>>I can’t seem to muster up the hatred for him that some >>do. I can only feel sorry for him.

Same feelings here. I never got the sense that he was evil, just very very VERY lost. And those around him didn’t help, either.

You need to clean out your ears. Whatever may be said about Big T’s music “feeble” and “boring” are not appropriate. Dramatic and exciting is far more accurate for the music of a man who wrote some of the greatest music ever composed. The Piano Concerto, Fourth Symphony, Romeo and Juliet, the Violin Concerto and the ballets are superb stuff something anyone would be proud to have produced. Even those works which are flawed still have moments of great power and charm.

Nice summation. Grew up with the Jackson 5, was in nursing school when MJ's artistry was at the pinnacle. Many enjoyable and memorable weekends were spent dancing to his tunes. Listening to several of his songs today, it's still impossible to sit still with that rhythm.

Indeed, he was a tortured soul, as are many brilliant artists. Lost interest in his music with each of his successive surgical metamorphoses, as his acts also became bizarre.

More than anything, Jackson's death today prompted a trip down memory lane.

They're only human... I'm sure there is an understandable amount of lingering around out of curiosity about his belongings and furnishings and displays of memorabilia.

It's not like there in jawbone junction where the city limit sign is written on both sides. They run into and deal with celebrity types all the time. It's really nothing new, or impressive, in fact dealing with these types of people is more than not, a pain in the ass for them.

A talent, but a seriously troubled individual. What upsets me are his friends and associates who knew that he had this sickness but did nothing about it. Do I believe the allegations that he was a child molester, yes. His fame, connections and wealth-(what little that was left)bought his freedom. Rest in peace Michael, and seek forgiveness from the Lord for your sins. No verbal beatdowns please, this is just my view./Just Asking - seoul2.......

So that would mean that David Raperman is the biggest child molester among the Hollywood Democrats now eh?

OH my!!!!! what hateful diatribe. know any other such language? lol.

If I died tonight, it would be glory for me, and I would not expect you to care.

No one is an IDOL, we are all going to die, that's a given, and as for Jackson it came just right.

LOL! Count on it! Also count on hundreds of long lost family members showing up to claim what is left of his estate.

It is just a differance of opinion as to what constitutes REAL Music. Jackson was not real music, just loud, screaming and vulger.
