I would ask the granola eating zealots on the left this question regarding statistical outcomes analysis. “If it cannot be shown statistically that eating organic food or taking vitamin supplements prolongs life, would you agree not to buy and consume them anymore? Do you believe this proves they don't have an effect and are not better for you?” People only use the statistics that tell the story they believe.

Prayer for Those Who Are Terminally Ill

 

Lord Jesus, you healed so many people during your public ministry. I bring before you now, in prayer, all those who are terminally ill -- those afflicted with cancer, AIDS, and other illnesses.

 

Look lovingly and compassionately upon them. Let them feel the strength of your consolation. Help them and their families to accept this cross they are asked to carry.  Protect them from euthanasia, Lord.

 

Let them see you carrying their cross with them, at their side, as you once carried yours to Calvary. May Mary be there, too, to comfort them. 

 

Lord Jesus, I know and believe that, if it is your will, you can cure those I pray for (especially N.). I place my trust in you. I pray with faith, but I also pray as you did in Gethsemane: your will be done. 

 

Bless us, Lord, and hear my prayer. Amen.

Thanks for posting this quote. I was looking for this earlier today. I have elderly relatives who are still active, but on prescription meds of various sorts. Obama (and sadly, some freepers) would yank their coverage and leave them to die—yet give any care needed to illegals.

I am just curious how the AARP will portray Obama’s health care plan to seniors. Normally the AARP presents the message that Republicans want seniors to eat dog food and are plotting to take all their Medicare away. Either Barack Obama is being very imprecise with his language, or he is one scary dude. I think the latter is true.

If I continue breathing, evidence shows it is not necessarily going to result in me living to see tomorrow. I could get hit by a bus, a bullet, or a wayward Space Toilet. By this language, no care would be justifiable unless there was a 100% guarantee that the patient would improve.

By that standard, all medical care should be suspended immediately.
