The patriarch of the Orthodox Church of Ethiopia says he will announce to the world Friday the unveiling of the Ark of the Covenant, perhaps the world's most prized archaeological and spiritual artifact, which he says has been hidden away in a church in his country for millennia.....
Abuna Pauolos, in Italy for a meeting with Pope Benedict XVI this week, told the news agency, "Soon the world will be able to admire the Ark of the Covenant described in the Bible as the container of the tablets of the law that God delivered to Moses and the center of searches and studies for centuries."
The announcement is expected to be made at 2 p.m. Italian time from the Hotel Aldrovandi in Rome

I don’t see how it could be otherwise.
I’ll believe it when I see it, and even then, I’ll want experts to examine it. Otherwise, it’s like the fake 0 birth certificate.
Thanks, I’ve bookmarked it for later.
In Hebrews 9:14 we are told that the ark contained the stone tablets of the law, a golden jar of manna, and Aaron's staff that had budded.
However in 1 Kings 8:9, when Solomon brought the Ark into the Temple which he had built, it only contained the stone tablets. The other contents, the rod and the jar of manna, must have been removed at some point before the ark was brought into the temple. And that is all the Bible says about the contents of the ark of the covenant.
Yes, especially as far as it’s supposed ability to kill or protect.
2PM Italian time is what in USA Eastern Standard Time?

I seem to be grammatically challenged this morning. Not that Im ever like a grammatical samurai or anything. Actually my grammar usually stinks, but this morning it was even worse than the usual benchmark of simply bad.
The warning I was trying to get across was, to not look at the wispy things that fly out if you don’t want your face melted off. But I guess they COULD be flies of a wispy ghost like face melting variety... Sort of...

If there was never capital punishment, there would be no Christianity
I need a question answered: in the movie: Raiders of the Lost Ark, the scene where the Ark is uncovered and the things that came out of the Ark, flew around were Spirits, right? If so, where can we open the Ark again in the United States???? Any suggestions?/Just Asking - seoul62.......
Are we worried?
Since there is absolutely nothing in scripture indicating that the Ark would be returned, and in recognition that such an event would most certainly be of great enough importance to be foretold, I have to assume that this “Ark” is a fake.
I found this very interesting from Chapter 4 of the e book: “Apparently, the purpose of finding these lost portions of the Old and New Testaments as well as the Ark of the Covenant is to help the Mahdi win converts from both Christianity and Judaism prior to eradicating the remainder who do not convert to Islam.” Thanks again for the link.
