Obama, the African Colonial

Had Americans been able to stop obsessing over the color of Barack Obama's skin and instead paid more attention to his cultural identity, maybe he would not be in the White House today. The key to understanding him lies with his identification with his father, and his adoption of a cultural and political mindset rooted in postcolonial Africa.

Like many educated intellectuals in postcolonial Africa, Barack Hussein Obama, Sr. was enraged at the transformation of his native land by its colonial conqueror. But instead of embracing the traditional values of his own tribal cultural past, he embraced an imported Western ideology, Marxism. I call such frustrated and angry modern Africans who embrace various foreign "isms", instead of looking homeward for repair of societies that are broken, African Colonials. They are Africans who serve foreign ideas.

The tropes of America's racial history as a way of understanding all things black are useless in understanding the man who got his dreams from his father, a Kenyan exemplar of the African Colonial.

Before I continue, I need to say this: I am a first generation born West African-American woman whose parents emigrated to the U.S. in the 1970's from the country now called Nigeria. I travel to Nigeria frequently. I see myself as both a proud American and as a proud Igbo (the tribe that we come from -- also sometimes spelled Ibo). Politically, I have always been conservative (though it took this past election for me to commit to this once and for all!); my conservative values come from my Igbo heritage and my place of birth. Of course, none of this qualifies me to say what I am about to -- but at the same time it does.

My friends, despite what CNN and the rest are telling you, Barack Obama is nothing more than an old school African Colonial who is on his way to turning this country into one of the developing nations that you learn about on the National Geographic Channel. Many conservative (East, West, South, North) African-Americans like myself -- those of us who know our history -- have seen this movie before. Here are two main reasons why many Americans allowed Obama to slip through the cracks despite all of his glaring inconsistencies:

First, Obama has been living on American soil for most of his adult life. Therefore, he has been able to masquerade as one who understands and believes in American democratic ideals. But he does not. Barack Obama is intrinsically undemocratic and as his presidency plays out, this will become more obvious. Second, and most importantly, too many Americans know very little about Africa. The one-size-fits-all understanding that many Americans (both black and white) continue to have of Africa might end up bringing dire consequences for this country.

Contrary to the way it continues to be portrayed in mainstream Western culture, Africa is not a continent that can be solely defined by AIDS, ethnic rivalries, poverty and safaris. Africa, like any other continent, has an immense history defined by much diversity and complexity. Africa's long-standing relationship with Europe speaks especially to some of these complexities -- particularly the relationship that has existed between the two continents over the past two centuries. Europe's complete colonization of Africa during the nineteenth century, also known as the Scramble for Africa, produced many unfortunate consequences, the African colonial being one of them.

The African colonial (AC) is a person who by means of their birth or lineage has a direct connection with Africa. However, unlike Africans like me, their worldviews have been largely shaped not by the indigenous beliefs of a specific African tribe but by the ideals of the European imperialism that overwhelmed and dominated Africa during the colonial period. AC's have no real regard for their specific African traditions or histories.  AC's use aspects of their African culture as one would use pieces of costume jewelry: things of little or no value that can be thoughtlessly discarded when they become a negative distraction, or used on a whim to decorate oneself in order to seem exotic. (Hint: Obama's Muslim heritage).

On the other hand, AC's strive to be the best at the culture that they inherited from Europe. Throughout the West, they are tops in their professions as lawyers, doctors, engineers, Ivy League professors and business moguls; this is all well and good. It's when they decide to engage us as politicians that things become messy and convoluted.

The African colonial politician (ACP) feigns repulsion towards the hegemonic paradigms of Western civilization. But at the same time, he is completely enamored of the trappings of its aristocracy or elite culture. The ACP blames and caricatures whitey to no end for all that has gone wrong in the world. He convinces the masses that various forms of African socialism are the best way for redressing the problems that European colonialism motivated in Africa. However, as opposed to really being a hard-core African Leftist who actually believes in something, the ACP uses socialist themes as a way to disguise his true ambitions: a complete power grab whereby the "will of the people" becomes completely irrelevant.

Barack Obama is all of the above. The only difference is that he is here playing (colonial) African politics as usual.  

In his 1995 memoir, Dreams From My Father -- an eloquent piece of political propaganda -- Obama styles himself as a misunderstood intellectual who is deeply affected by the sufferings of black people, especially in America and Africa. In the book, Obama clearly sees himself as an African, not as a black American. And to prove this, he goes on a quest to understand his Kenyan roots. He is extremely thoughtful of his deceased father's legacy; this provides the main clue for understanding Barack Obama.

Barack Obama Sr. was an African colonial to the core; in his case, the apple did not fall far from the tree. All of the telltale signs of Obama's African colonialist attitudes are on full display in the book -- from his feigned antipathy towards Europeans to his view of African tribal associations as distracting elements that get in the way of "progress".  (On p. 308 of Dreams From My Father, Obama says that African tribes should be viewed as an "ancient loyalties".)

Like imperialists of Old World Europe, the ACP sees their constituents not as free thinking individuals who best know how to go about achieving and creating their own means for success. Instead, the ACP sees his constituents as a flock of ignorant sheep that need to be led -- oftentimes to their own slaughter.

Like the European imperialist who spawned him, the ACP is a destroyer of all forms of democracy.

Here are a few examples of what the British did in order to create (in 1914) what is now called Nigeria and what Obama is doing to you: 

1. Convince the people that "clinging" to any aspect of their cultural (tribal) identity or history is bad and regresses the process of "unity". British Imperialists deeply feared people who were loyal to anything other than the state. "Tribalism" made the imperialists have to work harder to get people to just fall in line. Imperialists pitted tribes against each other in order to create chaos that they then blamed on ethnic rivalry. Today many "educated" Nigerians, having believed that their traditions were irrelevant, remain completely ignorant of their ancestry and the history of their own tribes.
2. Confiscate the wealth and resources of the area that you govern by any means necessary in order to redistribute wealth. The British used this tactic to present themselves as empathetic and benevolent leaders who wanted everyone to have a "fair shake". Imperialists are not interested in equality for all. They are interested in controlling all.  
3. Convince the masses that your upper-crust university education naturally puts you on an intellectual plane from which to understand everything even when you understand nothing. Imperialists were able to convince the people that their elite university educations allowed them to understand what Africa needed. Many of today's Nigerians-having followed that lead-hold all sorts of degrees and certificates-but what good are they if you can't find a job?   
4. Lie to the people and tell them that progress is being made even though things are clearly becoming worse.  One thing that the British forgot to mention to their Nigerian constituents was that one day, the resources that were being used to engineer "progress" (which the British had confiscated from the Africans to begin with!) would eventually run out. After WWII, Western Europe could no longer afford to hold on to their African colonies. So all of the counterfeit countries that the Europeans created were then left high-and-dry to fend for themselves. This was the main reason behind the African independence movements of the1950 and 60's. What will a post-Obama America look like?
5. Use every available media outlet to perpetuate the belief that you and your followers are the enlightened ones-and that those who refuse to support you are just barbaric, uncivilized, ignorant curmudgeons.  This speaks for itself.

America, don't be fooled. The Igbos were once made up of a confederacy of clans that ascribed to various forms of democratic government. They took their eyes off the ball and before they knew it, the British were upon them. Also, understand this: the African colonial who is given too much political power can only become one thing: a despot.

Kwame Nkrumah’s efforts at making Ghana the territorial base of the Pan African movement coupled with the development of Ghana’s traditional arts endeared him to some prominent blacks in the Diaspora, prompting people like Maya Angelou, Malcolm X, Richard Wright, Sylvia Boone, Julian Mayfield and W.E.B Dubois to visit and stay in the country. Kwame Nkrumah positioned Ghana as the black star of Africa Some state resources were branded with the ‘black star label’ proposed by Marcus Garvey; Black Star Line (the state shipping line), Black Stars (the national football team) and Black Star Square (now known as the Independence Square).

Today, there is an African American community of more than a thousand people in Ghana partly due to the efforts of successive governments. We have also had prominent African Americans like Rev. Jesse Jackson and Louis Farakhan visiting the country. The African American community in Ghana celebrates events which originate from the black diaspora, such as the Black History Month and ‘Juneteenth’ in Ghana. In 1999, Ghana was chosen as the venue for the Africa African American summit which attracted more than 3500 delegates and 19 nations, including some 1000 African American. Also, in November 2001, the parliament of Ghana passed legislation, ‘The Right to Abode’ act which allows any person of African descent in the Diaspora to live and work in Ghana indefinitely. Under the Rawlings administration, there was a symbolic return of the mortal remains of two slave ancestors back to Ghana through the ‘door of no return’ of the Cape Coast Castle and the introduction of the Pan African Historical Theatre Festival (PANAFEST) as well as Emancipation Day to reinforce Ghana’s position as a destination for the black diaspora. President J.A Kufuor also launched Africa’s Golden Gateway Project in Washington aimed at stepping up Ghana’s efforts at attracting American investors and tourists and the ‘Joseph Project’ to encourage African Americans to return to the homeland at least for a pilgrimage and to reconnect with their roots.

Obama is the first African American president of the USA and he has chosen Ghana, the first country south of the Sahara to attain independence as his first point of call in sub-saharan Africa during the first year of his reign as president. This is the icing on the cake for Ghana in her efforts at attracting the African American tourist and investor. By visiting Ghana and the Cape coast Castle, Obama has endorsed Ghana as a preferred African American tourist destination. He articulated this fact after his tour of the Cape Coast Castle by calling on his fellow African Americans to visit the castle because though on the one hand it represents sadness, on the other hand, that is where the journey begun.

I have to admit that the Obama-Malcolm X-Ghana links and Obama’s similarity to Malcolm X are creepy. The piece you posted from 1964 showing that Malcolm X was fully integrated with the Chinese Communist branch of Comintern while in Ghana is telling.

But Obama looks like his half-brother Mark Ndesandjo. also. Mark doesn't look at all like BHO Sr. either.

I personally regard the UH transcript showing Stanley Ann in attendance from Sep to Dec 1960 to appear to be authentic. Russian is on her transcript as BHO Sr. is reported to have studied and where they met, although Stanley Armour Dunham meeting BHO Sr. on his arrival in 1959 may point to a much tighter family connection, possibly as a communist cell linked to Frank Marshall Davis.

I also regard the HI vital record index of a Dunham-Obama marriage to appear to be authentic.

I regard as appearing to be authentic the 1964 divorce document (with the missing page) which stated that the Dunham Obama marriage event occurred on February 2, 1961 on Oahu.

All three of these documents, if authentic, place Stanley Ann Dunham in Hawaii from Sep 1960 through early February 1961. I see no evidence that Malcolm X was in HI in late 1960.

I do not yet see any evidence that Malcolm X was in Hawaii in this time frame when Obama is alleged to have been conceived, if Obama’s birth date of August 4, 1961 is correct.

But is it correct? We have numerous contemporaneous witness reports that Stanley Ann arrived in the late summer of 1961 in Seattle with a newborn whose diaper she was just learning how to change, not a toddler or older baby or child. To me this appears to be confirmation of a birth date very close to August 4, 1961.

Like Malcolm X, BHO Sr. in my view was only a nominal Muslim but at the core a dedicated Marxist tied into the Pan-African Socialist movement under likely KGB influence. I think they only were using Islam to advance socialism, just as Obama uses his alleged Christianity to advance socialism. There are lots of scary sincere Muslims sprouting in the US with Saudi funding, but I don't consider Obama to be one of them in disguise. I see Obama as an Alinski Socialist/Marxist in disguise!

Is it possible that Stanley Armour could have taken Stanley Ann back to the mainland USA, perhaps during the historic events of the summer of 1960 in that Harlem hotel that you posted where Castro met Malcolm X? Certainly, any dedicated communist in the USA would have wanted to have been there. Baby Barry, if conceived in the summer of 1960 in NYC would still be a newborn in Sep 1961 in Seattle. Everyone did say that "he was big."

The Director General of Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Dr Harold Demuren told journalists on Boxing Day that Umar bought his ticket at the airport office of KLM Airlines in Accra, Ghana without leaving any contact details then returned to Nigeria.

CCTV footage and passenger travelling manifest obtained show that he personally checked in at 8.30pm WAT.

The DG said, "He personally checked in at 2035 local time. The passenger did not check in any baggage but was spotted with a shoulder bag. He went through normal screening and check in process. His passport was scanned, his US visa was scanned and the advance passenger information system returned no objection. He was allotted seat number 20B on the Lagos -Amsterdam leg and seat 19A on the Amsterdam - Detroit leg.”

"The passenger possessed a Nigerian machine readable passport issued Sept 15, 2005 to expire Sept 14, 2010 with passport number A3921640. His multiple entry US visa was issued in London, UK, on June 16, 2008 and set to expire June 2010."

Sorry I didn't get back to this sooner, I will reply point by point, now, with my POV.

Ghana was the first african nation to gain independence, Nkrumah was a communist who welcomed african-american expats, gave them instant citizenship, gave them the best jobs...a long line from DuBois, his stepson, Maya Angelou...and on and on. The African Colonial tag refers to the expats who tried to take over the country, thought of themselves as being elite, were hated by the indigenous people.

But Obama looks like his half-brother Mark Ndesandjo. also. Mark doesn't look at all like BHO Sr. either.

I am under the impression Mark looks like his parents. And Mark was the only one who was able to substantiate his claim to the Obama Senior estate with documentation.

Someone was enrolled for September 1960, the dates were provided in the form of a letter. I see nothing conclusive there.

If the enrollment coincides with ANN OBAMA living in the bungalow at the rear of the birth announcement address, it may have been ANN OBAMA who went to the University in Hawaii, then left to take up residence in Seattle as ANNA OBAMA. I doubt that ANN/ANNA OBAMA and Stanley Ann Dunham were the same person.

Russian is on her transcript as BHO Sr. is reported to have studied and where they met, although Stanley Armour Dunham meeting BHO Sr. on his arrival in 1959 may point to a much tighter family connection, possibly as a communist cell linked to Frank Marshall Davis.

There is a possibility that ANN OBAMA and Obama Senior studied Russian at the East-West Centre, though this has NOT been established.

Take a closer look at what we think is the Arrival Image in 1959:

There are three people of interest: Senior, Stanley Armour Dunham, and a young woman standing very close to Senior. It would appear the image has been tampered with; extra lei have been added to conceal that Senior has his arm around the girl, and she around him...now who might that be?

I also regard the HI vital record index of a Dunham-Obama marriage to appear to be authentic.

I didn't know there was a record.

Nothing I have seen places Stanley Ann in Hawaii. Although, if you want to follow 'Dreams' she's placed in Chicago, 'working as an au pair':

May confirm the date of birth, but tells us nothing about WHERE that birth took place. She may have been en-route from Canada to Seattle - destination unknown. A classmate report states that Stanley Ann was 'staying with a friend of her mothers' - Susan Blake stated 'she borrowed a car' - where did she go after wards? I do NOT assume she moved into the Seattle apartment.

THERE IS NO MENTION OF WASHINGTON/SEATTLE RESIDENCE IN 'DREAMS' BTW.

And, what we all seem to have missed, is the tenant at apartment two, at the Seattle address, where Joseph Toutonghi lived in apartment 10, according to Mary Toutonghi, was ANNA OBAMA AND SHE HAD A SEVEN MONTH OLD CHILD. Think about it...

Soviet Collapse Leaves Foreign Students Stuck By Deborah Seward

MOSCOW - For nearly a decade, Roman Obama's life at Patrice Lumumba University was almost paradise. He studied for free and got warm clothes and cheap airline tickets that let him see the world.

"We had so many possibilities. Maybe it was not a luxurious life, but we could travel and do things," said Obama, 31, a law student from Equatorial Guinea.

The former Soviet Union spent huge sums of money over the past few decades to educate tens of thousands of foreign students - mainly from the developing world - in the name of "peoples' friendship."

Young people from Asia, Africa, and Latin America studied medicine, agronomy, law and Marxist economics.

For those students, the place to be was Patrice Lumumba, founded by Nikita Khrushchev in the early 1960s when dozens of Latin American, Asian and African countries won independence.

Now Lumumba's dorms are crumbling. The Russian government and the university have little money. Once a Soviet showcase, the university and its students are now a burden.

In Obama's building, the elevator lights do not work, the garbage chute is clogged and heating is a problem. Named for a Zairean revolutionary, Lumumba was considered in the West to be a ideological training ground for future cadres in Soviet-backed regimes such as Ethiopia, Nicaragua and Vietnam.

As the collapse of communism became more apparent, Obama revised his thesis to address the problems of cooperation between the International Monetary Fund and Africa. He hopes to work in private practice or for his country's government.

Sitting on his bed, which takes up most of his dorm room on the 13th floor of a deteriorating high-rise, Obama wonders how he will survive his last semester.

His scholarship of 137 rubles a month is now worth about $1.37. He has no money to pay for the airline ticket that would cost 215,000 rubles to return home to Equatorial Guinea.

Obama's room is more cramped than usual. His countryman Luis Alonso, who was studying in the Ukrainian city of Odessa, managed to buy a plane ticket at the old price and is headed home. But hotels cost too much, so Alonso is camping out with Obama until he gets an exit visa.

"It's impossible for us to study. The universities have no money and our government has no money. We are hostages," said another countryman, Enrique Edu, 29, a law student at Baku University in Azerbaijan.

Edu came to Moscow to plead for help for his wife, their child and about 150 other students from Equatorial Guinea in the former Soviet Union.

Baku University no longer gives foreign students any money and wants foreign students to pay a dollar a day for their dorm rooms, Edu said. He still gets his former Soviet stipend of 150 rubles ($1.50) but is not sure how long even that small sum will continue.

The students' plight was raised last week at a meeting of heads of government of the Commonwealth.

Deputy Prime Minister Gennady Burbulis of Russia said the commonwealth members agreed to seek new accords "taking into account the obligations of the former Soviet Union and preserve them in order to guarantee normal vital activity of foreign students."

Obama remembers the days when he and his friends could buy airplane and train tickets for rubles. They went around the world, often stopping in West Berlin to buy electronic goods that they would bring back and sell for high prices in the Soviet Union.

Now, they can't afford even a second-class train ticket to Berlin, and Obama said, "These days, life is good if we have bread and chicken."

During the period of roughly February 1992 to mid 1994, I was making frequent trips to Moscow, Russia, in the process of starting a software development joint-venture company with some people from the Russian scientific community. One of the men in charge on the Russian side was named V. M.; he had a wife named T.M.

V. was a level-headed scientist while his wife was rather deeply committed to the losing Communist cause – a cause she obviously was not abandoning.

One evening, during a trip early in 1992, the American half of our venture were invited to V. & T.’s Moscow flat as we were about to return to the States. The party went well and we had the normal dinner discussions.

As the evening wore on, T. developed a decidedly rough anti-American edge – one her husband tried to quietly rein in.

The bottom line of the tirade she started against the United States went something like this:

“You Americans always like to think that you have the perfect government and your people are always so perfect. Well then, why haven’t you had a woman president by now? You had a chance to vote for a woman vice-president and you didn’t do it.”

The general response went something along the lines that you don’t vote for someone just because of their sex. Besides, you don’t vote for vice-president, but the president and vice-president as a ticket.

“Well, I think you are going to be surprised when you get a black president very soon.”

The consensus we expressed was that we didn’t think there was anything innately barring that. The right person at the right time and sure, America would try to vote for the right person, be he or she black or not.

“What if I told you that you will have a black president very soon and he will be a Communist?”

The out-of-the-blue remark was met by our stares. She continued, “Well, you will; and he will be a Communist.”

It was then that the husband unsuccessfully tried to change the subject; but she was on a roll and would have nothing of it. One of us asked, “It sounds like you know something we don’t know.”

“Yes, it is true. This is not some idle talk. He is already born and he is educated and being groomed to be president right now. You will be impressed to know that he has gone to the best schools of Presidents. He is what you call “Ivy League”. You don’t believe me, but he is real and I even know his name. His name is Barack. His mother is white and American and his father is black from Africa. That’s right, a chocolate baby! And he’s going to be your President.”

She became more and more smug as she presented her stream of detailed knowledge and predictions so matter-of-factly – as though all were foregone conclusions. “It’s all been thought out. His father is not an American black so he won’t have that social slave stigma. He is intelligent and he is half white and has been raised from the cradle to be an atheist and a Communist. He’s gone to the finest schools. He is being guided every step of the way and he will be irresistible to America.”

We sat there not knowing what to say. She was obviously very happy that the Communists were doing this and that it would somehow be a thumbing of their collective noses at America: they would give us a black president and he’d be a Communist to boot. She made it quite obvious that she thought that this was going to breathe new life into world Communism. From this and other conversations with her, she always asserted that Communism was far from dead.

She was full of little details about him that she was eager to relate. I thought that maybe she was trying to show off that this truly was a real person and not just hot air.

She rattled off a complete litany. He was from Hawaii. He went to school in California. He lived in Chicago. He was soon to be elected to the legislature. “Have no doubt: he is one of us, a Soviet.”

At one point, she related some sort of San Francisco connection, but I didn’t understand what the point was and don’t recall much about that. I was just left with the notion that she considered the city to be some sort of a center for their activity here.

Since I had dabbled in languages, I knew a smattering of Arabic. I made a comment: “If I remember correctly, ‘Barack’ comes from the Arabic word for ‘Blessing.’ That seems to be an odd name for an American.” She replied quickly, “Yes. It is ‘African’”, she insisted, “and he will be a blessing for world Communism. We will regain our strength and become the number one power in the world.”

She continued with something to the effect that America was at the same time the great hope and the great obstacle for Communism. America would have to be converted to Communism and Barack was going to pave the way.

So, what does this conversation from 1992 prove?

Well, it’s definitely anecdotal. It doesn’t prove that Obama has had Soviet Communist training nor that he was groomed to be the first black American president, but it does show one thing that I think is very important. It shows that Soviet Russian Communists knew of Barack from a very early date. It also shows that they truly believed among themselves that he was raised and groomed Communist to pave the way for their future. This report on Barack came personally to me from one of them long before America knew he existed.

Although I had never before heard of him, at the time of this conversation Obama was 30+ years old and was obviously tested enough that he was their anticipated rising star.

Mr. Fife has a degree in Physics and has worked extensively in advanced design in aerospace for the DoD. He also has a solid grounding in financial systems and has developed sophisticated software for banks.

He was one of the first to recognize the future in pen-based, hand-held computers. In a Russian-American joint-venture effort, he co-organized a group of programmers from the Russian Academy of Science to aid in the development of software for the early pen operating systems and machines.

Mr. Fife is now located in Southern California and has more recently performed work for leading entertainment and financial corporations.

This program was controlled from the Gujranwalla Regional Office. She stayed for five years in the Hilton International Hotel (now Avari Hotel), Lahore. She travelled daily from Lahore to Gujranwalla. When Barack Obama visited Pakistan, he stayed in the same hotel. After returning from Pakistan, she died from cancer within three years.
