Why is it our business?
Aside from being an existential threat to the US and our allies, it's not our concern at all. I'm sure the regime will be sufficiently pacified when they're done slaughtering these kids in the streets. Once they get this nastiness out of their system, peace will surely be at hand.
Why was helping release thousands upon thousands of Jewish people from concentration camps our business?
Why was stopping saddam, responsible for the deaths of over 200,000 our business?
Why was it Frances business to help us win the American revolution?
Why?
Because to ignore the cry for freedom, ANYWHERE, when you have the power to encourage it, is to lose your very compass. To ignore suffering is to ignore your spirit and the very foundations of our nation. If we truly believe all men are created equal...then it is OUR JOB to see it through.
