Who cares where he went?

He is an adult living in a free land and his comings and goings are his business.

Not when he’s a governor and he just disappears.

What if the state had some sort of emergency?

Add to that.. the first reports we had were that the government was trying to trace his cell phone and couldn’t find it..

Aren’t you amazed at how many people there are who think this guy has to answer to them?

Well actually as the CEO of a state he is a contracted responsibility in case of emergencies, etc...it doesn’t look like he followed the proper protocol, etc...after all this is hurricane season, etc and if there were a state emergency the LT General wasn’t even information etc...at least that is what they are saying.

As an elected Governor unfortunately you give up some of these freedoms.

We’re n ot talking about some Hollywood celeb here, we’re talking about the governor of a state and a man who potentially could be the leader of the free world four years from now. Also, we’re not talking about knowing all his “comings and goings” we’re talking about him dropping off the face of the Earth for four days.

I’m betting if we had a thread about some factory worker who disappeared from his job for four days, you wouldn’t say it was none of his employer’s business that he was off the job without notice. Do our government overlords get some sort of special pass?

Excuse me but he is the Governor of a State who did not officially leave the Lt Governor in charge. He has a duty to the state of South Carolina and makes him different then the vast majority of adults. He swore an oath to his State.

I agree. Everyone deserves a few days off now and then. For those of you afraid the world will end if there is an emergency while he is away, that is why states have lieutenant governors. No one in the world is so valuable, so irreplaceable, that they can't take a few days off and turn off the phone. All these posters crying like little girls over this need to get a life.

The people who pay his salary care what he was doing when he HAD NOT taken vacation time and thus, was on the clock.

I don’t care that he’s conservative. Disappearing was wrong.
