Exactly. Nobody here knew what was up for sure. What if it had been something like that ? When my father’s ex was diagnosed with terminal cancer, she got on a plane right after leaving from the doctor’s office and flew off to Hawaii. Would the apologies have come forth from all the people suspecting the worst if it turned out he had been similarly diagnosed ? I doubt it. I apologized to folks for being wrong about him with respect to his adultery, but I don’t apologize for defending against a lynch mob mentality. Even after the fact, way too many people around here taking a holier-than-thou attitude in continuing the attacks when they certainly aren’t entitled to it. People in glass houses, as they say...
At any rate, Sanford always struck me as a good man, I was curious why he didn't really show interest in running last year, now we all know why. I actually felt a little sorry for him today, he is a man with very torn emotions... his head is one place, his heart another. Very sad.

Do I think you wanted it to turn out like this ? I have no idea, I don’t know you. I do know there are people that were cheering on Sanford’s demise, because it removes another impediment to Slick Willard’s quest to buy the GOP nomination for President. This had a stench of the workings of his people all over it. They’re quite thrilled with this, and that makes me really sick. Sanford’s behavior has negative repercussions beyond just potentially ruining his own family, and I wish he had prayed about it and not done what he did.

I’m now apprised and extremely disappointed to learn that about you.
There are certain protocols of civility between us one would hope could be expected here. That was an outright, unnecessary and purposely personal slam.
It’s not so hard to see why the conservative movement can be splintered, disjointed and dissembling into powerlessness if this occurs amongst ourselves on the #1 conservative site.
I hope you’ll think on it and reconsider.

I would have preferred if I was wrong. I do a lot of political analysis work and this just didn’t make sense or feel right. It is a shame for his family that this had to happen but explains his wife’s comments.
I have absolutely no doubt they are being outed or outing themselves because of Rahm... he probably has PI’s on every single GOP politician digging for dirt...
My credibility is well-established and respected here, thank you. The only ones who hate and despise me are people that have worked for or supported Slick Willard, Huckster, or Gibbons of NV, many of whom have popped up on this very thread to attack me personally. They are no friends of the Conservative movement and I don’t apologize for standing up to them or to a lynch mob. I did apologize for being wrong about Sanford with respect to his behavior. When it’s out in the open, you can’t defend it, and I never tried to.
That doesn’t make any sense.
