The factor missing from this is "stickiness." That's the measure of how much time people spend on a website once they go there. From other evaluations, FreeRepublic leads om that measure.

I've heard this before, and I believe it, however, where is it documented?

This is a political website??

I thought it was a social networking group for conservatives

I thought this was the Seinfeld commentary website.

I check out the huff occasionally.

There are quite a few middle of the roaders who are not afraid to put the liberal nut jobs in their place.

:)

"for the same reason people slow down and stare at car wrecks."

Yeah, that's possible. Same reason some of us belong to this kind of ping list....

I think you are a bit misguided at how "Hits" are counted. They come from server requests for a particular site/page. Opening a FR window and just leaving it open is only one hit, no matter how long it sits there.

Arianna Huffington, who found herself married to a homosexual some years back.

Bet he was hetero before he married her.

LOL Obama followers don't bother to visit his political website, now that he is elected!? Just shows that probably the majority of those who voted for him and took him over the top don't have computers or computer skills. They are still sleeping on the street, standing on the corner unemployed and freeloading, in jail, on welfare and can't afford it, or were dead to begin with but someone used their name to vote.

They don't listen to any news, or read any papers (not even the liberal ones) and have no clue what is happening in the world, nor could they care less. As long as they heard Obama would help them with their personal situation and change it, that was all they heard and still believe.

I talked with a few of Obama's race a few weeks ago and asked if they knew who he had announced that he wanted for the new Supreme Court Appointment. I even gave them a hint, that she was a woman. None knew, one didn't even know how many are on the Supreme Court. Another didn't know that Hillary Clinton is his SOS and when I told her she did not believe me! And none of them knew about what is going on in North Korea with the bomb and missle testing. They are only caught up in their own worlds, and look to Obama to give them what they want because he is the first Black man to serve in the WH (I refuse to call him our president any more, to me he is just the man in the White House). This is the mentality and these are the people who put him in the White House. It makes me ill.
