Reserve your room at the Sheraton National Hotel and purchase your Free Republic Convention ticket today!
Good Morning!
As soon as I hit “post” on this message I will be purchasing two tickets to our National Free Republic Tea Party Convention! :)
Just bought my ticket! Did I make the first 10?
Going to have to talk to hubby but will try to be there...
Stayed at this hotel a few years ago - it’s quite nice ... pretty views if you’re on the right side of the building with fairly large rooms... and was reasonably convenient to things.. :)
What activities and functions are included in the convention fee? For example, does this include local transportation from Arlington to the D.C. events?
Sorry, can’t make it 09/11/09
But will be in DC on 9/12/09
I’m encouraging all small business owners to come to DC on 9/12, calling it ‘A Day Without Small Business’!!
Booked and ticketed.
This is going to be great. Gratitude to all involved for your willingness to organize this event.
Are any FR events going to be scheduled for the 10th, and how involved are we going to be with the Tea Party events? I’m just a bit confused.
Thanks.
Well, I have airline tickets, my room at the Sheraton for two night, and I darn sure will be at the mall on Saturday. But frankly there ain’t no more money. I hope that I will be able to yak and visit with other Freepers while at the hotel.
I would come, but my finances say no.
Are there any other Freepers from Koxville, TN going who would like to share the cost of gas? I’ll be driving my Navigator out on the 8th and returning on the 13th.
I find this very confusing. I am prepared to go. I WANT to go. But I can only get away to attend the rally/march/whatever you want to call it.
I’ve read things here that indicate this is strictly a Freeper event. I don’t mind attending those, but I originally thought this 9/12 thing was intended to be a single, huge version of the tea parties...not just a Freeper thing.
I’ve very confused now.
Hank
I’m gonna have to pass on this one. I could accept the hotel room rates, but the convention price is steep for me. I’ll see you all at the march on the 12th (hopefully).
Well I’m not coming. This is clearly for those who have money to burn. I was thinking about making it a family thing but $175 a person is a deal breaker for me. I have 4 kids and even though I could do it I’m not going to. At $1050 before the hotel room well I have better things to spend my money on. Like helping get some of our candidates elected. I was looking forward to this and I love Freerepublic but even the Kos kids did better than this at $50 a ticket for their convention. Even gaming conventions do better than this. Is this a convention that really wants people other than retirees and single people to show up? I’m sorry but I’m not impressed. I’m not trying to be a wet blanket but this is a real disappointment. Also I read somewhere this hotel doesn’t even offer free internet in the rooms. Also if I’m not mistaking the parking is $18 a day for those who may not be flying in. I travel a lot and this doesn’t seem like a good deal at all and it is a pity I expected better.
Hotwire is offering a 4 star hotel in Arlington for $79 for the same period for those who don’t want to pay the convention rate.

would that I could - it would be a good education for my seven-year-old son. I want him to be proud of the USA and to have every hope and opportunity I did growing up. I do not want him to be a drone of the state. I want him to be a free man of free mind and body who is able to channel his moral energy and creativity into many worthwhile causes, all under the umbrella of the blessings bestowed on the USA, should we so wise in this generation as to sustain them and pass them on to the generations to come.
Aloha,
This is a reply to your query about the Hawaii long form birth certificate:
In attempting to access the Hawaii DOH website the long form is no longer available.
But surely it was available in 1961.
I will keep trying.
