Officials at the Nixon Library in Yorba Linda, Calif., have invited John Dean to speak there on the 37th anniversary of the Watergate break-in, slapping the faces not only of those sympathetic to the former president but, more important, history itself.

By the way, Susan Naulty is a professional archivist who came to the Nixon Library from the famous Huntington Library in Pasadena, Calif. She did a masterful job in organizing Nixon's vast collection of records. For years her 1966 Plymouth was a familiar sight in the Nixon Library's parking lot.
Deans presentation will be at 7:30 PM on June 17 and is free, if any Freepers want to attend. On Friday, Marty Anderson, author of the new book Reagans Secret War, will be speaking at 2:30 PM. I cant make the Dean appearance, since I have to work that evening, but Ill be at Andersons presentation.
I can’t wait until Paula Jones is invited to speak at the Clinton library.
If you want to know the truth about Watergate, read Silent Coup, St Martin's Press, 1992.
Would love to see the G-Man welcome him up to the podium
I read the news story and I read your post, and I still don’t know the name of the person or the committee that made the decision to invite John Dean. What was their reasoning? Who runs NARA?
LOL! You scooped me! I was about to post: In all fairness, I think the library should allow G. Gordon to mop...oops...I mean share the stage with Dean.
"As a response to the leaks, the Nixon administration began a campaign against further leaks and against Ellsberg personally. Aides Egil Krogh and David Young under John Ehrlichman's supervision created the 'White House Plumbers,' which would later lead to the Watergate burglaries."

So what is Daniel Ellsberg up to these days? Well, for one thing, he is an endorser of the Revolutionary Communist Party's "World Can't Wait" movement...
Click on the 'World Can't Wait' link just below and see: "Endorsers of the Call to Drive Out the Bush Regime Include" You may recognize a few other names as well, including the democrat chair of the House Judiciary Committee, John Conyers Jr. Conyers' name appears right after Ward Churchill's.

The RCP calls for the armed overthrow of the U.S. government...
From the website of the Revolutionary Communist Party (revcom.us or rwor.org) :
"Create Public Opinion, Seize Power: We are preparing minds and organizing forces for the time when there is a major crack in the system, whenever it comes and wherever it comes from: an opening that makes it possible to bring the future Revolutionary Army of the Proletariat (R.A.P.) into the field and wage a revolutionary armed struggle that actually has a chance of winning.
And we have said that building our party itself is the most important part of organizing forces for revolution. This is true now, and it is true looking forward to the creation of that future R.A.P. and the waging of that armed struggle.":
“Steve Earle,”
Just read an interview with him in Vintage Guitar Magazine. Total jackass!
Does the museum have anything on traitor/communist Daniel Ellsberg?
Not sure about that.
Museum = Nixon Library/Watergate exhibit
I was going to mention this, but I didn't wake up in time to see the post.
The original display didn’t whitewash Watergate. In fact, the so-called “smoking gun” tape that forced Nixon’s resignation from the presidency was available for visitors to listen to.
All the other presidential libraries that I have visited stress the positive aspects of their subjects. For example, I didn’t see any reference to Bobby Baker when I visited the Kennedy library.
I don’t think so, but I’ll be there again tomorrow, so I can check.
Egad. Poster boy for liberal left-wing academia. No wonder. Probably think’s he’s HS, too. The Nixon family must be having some bitter moments about their decision.
