MIAMI (AP) -- A teenager was arrested early Sunday and accused of committing a string of gruesome cat mutilation deaths that had horrified residents of his Miami area community, authorities said.
.... Some of the dead cats were missing fur and appeared to have been cut with a sharp, straight instrument, police said.
.... Tyler Weinman, 18, was taken into custody early Sunday at a party, police said. Weinman was charged with 19 counts of animal cruelty, 19 counts of improperly disposing of an animal body and four counts of burglary.

The so-called Mom, allowed her son to be out LATE AT NIGHT and unsupervised.
My kids do not go unsupervised for any reason. Deception is NOT AN OPTION with ME.
This criminal, is not a kid, nor is he not to be blamed for poor parenting. He is responsible for his actions and SO SHOULD HIS LEGAL CUSTODIAN.
Ask the Dad how his child support payments are being spent.

Fact: Like it or not, he's 18, legally an adult, and I think the law is the law and he should sit in prison a long time for animal cruelty/murder.
Let's see if Mom or Dad post bail, that will speak volumes.
These crimes did not happen over night. they took place over several months.
I bet that he did other crimes and this is not his first law breaking event.

As for his mom, when it comes to sociopaths like this, Mom is the one who is abused the most--and enables (makes excuses for) the little criminal.

It is reasonable for the parents of a psychopath to have No Clue about it. That is the nature of psychopathology.
If he was turned into a psychopath because of forced early sex education, then the NEA, Planned Parenthood, etc., should share the blame.
I hope that they got the right guy and throw the book at him if they did. There was some talk in the story about there possibly being other suspects. I hope they catch them and get the old book out again.
Those people in Florida deserve to be comfortable in their own neighborhood again without finding the grisley remains of beloved pets in thier front yards.
All of the perps need to be on a terrorist watch list for the rest of their lives, and anytime there is a murder, they need to be called in and grilled, have their homes searched, and their DNA tested against whatever is found at the scene.
The guilty parties should learn that their evil deeds carry a price that will be difficult for them to pay for the rest of their lives.
