Matt Lauer interviewed Gov Sarah Palin today. They talked about the gas pipe line and then got into the Letterman comment (from about the 4:00 minute mark). Sarah told it like it was when Lauer pressed her. Matt tried to excuse Letterman and Sarah said "he was naive" and then he really got interesting! Matt finally had to give in (even thou he tried to defend Letterman). Was great! REALLY WORTH LISTENING TO!

There is hope for this country.
I love Sarah and would love to see her as president, but I doubt it will ever happen. Liberals fear and hate her and constantly make fun of her on tv. It's outrageous how feminists don't come to her defense.
~rolling my eyes~
Wow. Fantastic interview. That Gal is sure quick.
And Matt was actually on his best behavior, or so it seemed to me. Then again, I think he knew she would chew him up and spit him out if he got too out of hand.
I honestly don’t know how anyone can dislike the obvious leadership in Palin.
Please, gentlemen, click onto link at post 2. :^)
GOP only has women who can make a point and have backbone.
Well? What did you think of her appearance?
meaning: her appearnace on The Today Show, not how she looked, (which was resplendent - seems to have lost wgt and looks 10 yrs younger)
....”the candidate who must be obeyed” LOL, great comment.
This should be mandatory watching by the Republican Party suits. They might just learn something. Just a quick FRecap using previously posted comments —
she was flawless.
she responded by cleaning his clock.
She kicked his butt and did it with charm and a smile.
Sarah is just pure awesomeness.
Lightweight Matt was seriously out classed.
Ya gotta have some faith. The liberals feared, hated and constantly mocked Ronals Reagan for years as a know nothing actor, a senile dottering fool, a dangerous cowboy who was going to start WWIII, etc. Eventually the truth comes out. IMNHO after 4 years of Obamunism, America will be ready for someone like Sarah.
Sarah was sharp, knowledgable, and didn’t need a teleprompter. Reading off her pda was a good move too. Good repsonse to Lauer’s clumsy attempt to get her to say she was “entitled to be the face of the GOP” too.
The “suits” need to learn that soft pedaling their core values is never a winner,
while speaking forcefully, truthfully, and authentically from core values is always a winner.
There is a reason that such plain speech ticks off the left - they can’t do it.
Awesome interview on MSNBC! Way to go Sarah!
(I know who MY leader of the GOP is!)
One, Tammy Bruce is an unabashed supporter of Sarah Palin.
Just watched it...she owned Lauer.
Ping...the Guv cleaned Matt Lauer’s clock this morning. Check it out.
GOTTA SEE IT! Sarah is absolutely inspiring.
It makes you feel proud to be a principled conservative, something the state sponsored media never allows without being forced.
One of many best quotes:
“I would hope that people would really start rising up. It’s not acceptable.”
She read an email talking about:
- how women’s groups are starting to rise up and that men’s organizations should also rise up to combat this degradation of their women.
- We’re in a position to encourage the whole country to take a stand.
- Shame on all of us if we haven’t had the nerve to walk out or at least boo when such a so-called comedian makes such a comment.
Sarah goes on to say “here’s the problem, Matt: The double standard that has been applied here.”
We know *exactly* what she’s talking about. And it would have continued in Matt Lauer’s interview had Sarah not interrupted him and INSISTED that her viewpoint be heard and not disparaged, condescended to or ignored completely. if you watch the whole interview you’ll see that she seems to actually put Lauer back on his heels and he begins agreeing that Letterman was out of line and that he will probably not get off scott-free on this issue.
Sarah has taken nothing but punches from the media. It is my opinion that we should now “rise up” as she said and clear the way for her to have a free say in the media and let her prove herself to the entire country.
That could turn her into the President of the United States, as opposed to the marxist Teleprompter of the United States. It’ll be a tough fight but we’re up to it IMO.
He seemed mostly respectful but did get a bit snarky and condescending while defending Letterman - at least at first.
