[history]
Never mind that there was a French military band playing in the background, for a moment the D-Day images that the cameras were capturing in Caen became surreally interchangeable with shots from a catwalk show.
Two tall women, one of them a model, were swinging in step in classic

I'm just looking at the distance between the ladies' belts and their bustlines.
Either Michelle needs those wide belts to hold up her boobs - or her boobs need a better bra!! She always picks those WIDE belts for some reason!

NO COMPARISON HERE. THE ARTICLE NEEDS A BARF ALERT
Carla, as usual, looked elegant and appropriate. FWIW, white is the most totally appropriate color to wear for a somber official occasion. In the days when people actually paid attention to etiquette, white was considered the color of mourning in Summer.
Michelle is a very large woman, tall and gawky and big boned. When will she learn that the belt goes under the jacket, at the waist or slightly below? Never hiked up to emphasize the girth and big stomach.

THIS IS WHAT THE OBAMAS WOULD BE UP AGAINST:

I think that all of the guys that were involved in D Day wore pretty much the same thing. There were no stories about allies wearing similar attire.

Although she should avoid wearing black, since it's not the most flattering color for her, this is one of the rare occasions where she actually looked good.

Now that black number, that was a nice outfit. Her retro hair looked good, too.

This picture, if the colors are true finally shows me how badly matched her shoes really were.
I could not believe the coat had a white lining when I saw it, ugly fabric, but color and lining are totally bad!

I'm confused...didn't Bruni leave Sark?
And aren't there nude pics of Bruni?
And last but most importantly...when did politics become reality t.v.?

Agreed! Looks good unless this was a summer sheath in the Washington Winter again.
