GagMeWithaTeabag—well isn’t that a clever troll name.

Let me guess—you aren’t quite smart enough for DU,Huffington,Daily Kos or the Obama Hit Team, so you’re here on a solo mission.

How courageous of you.

Gag me with car company bailout.

That statement GREATLY concerns me. GREATLY! I highly doubt that was a mistake.

I am not the first American president to come and mark this anniversary, and I likely will not be the last.

Boy, we could not have said it better in hoping your term is short...except to add that we hope this will be your last visit there, ZerO. As Commander In Chief, he is an insult to our beloved veterans and deceased protectors of our freedoms.

I can only hope some huge misstep or scandal occurs soon that shortens his term and he is out of office. Not that Biden would be better, but I think if Obama is outed, the Dems would become very tame and lean less toward the Socialist policies they are pushing for now with ZerO in the WH.

If I am recalling my history correctly (it has been a while) not only did the Queen serve during the war, her family played an enormous role in getting the people through the war.

The Tory leader is quoted as saying he did not realize the importance of the 65th anniversary. BS!!! It was planned for PM’s and Presidents, not royalty.

He said the Queen was welcome if she wanted to come. Sure, go to Normandy and feel like the third wheel, knowing you were not wanted in the first place..

I don’t know. But I believe we turned away from the Lord and He just had enough of our foolishness. When I say our foolishness, I don’t necessarily mean us. If you know what I mean.

Sarkozy gets it..he must be having a rough time having to deal with the Bamster.

Sarkozy's body language at a press availability with 0 was extremely telling. It looked like Sarkozy could hardly bear sitting near 0. Does Bill O'Reilly still do the bit with the body language expert?

Others can read from a teleprompter without having the screens set up above their line of sight.

Is that where they need to be so they don't show on TV? I didn't watch the speech, but I don't recall seeing them on any of his previous speeches. It's all fake with him so having them not show is more important than having the wierd head tilt or his ridiculous head flap.

Obama still reminds me of that stuffed monkey with the windup key that clapped cymbals, it had really big ears and wore a red top and black bottom, ESPECIALLY whenever he is reading his teleprompters with that nose in the air!

I also bet it pissed him off today not to get to say "Muslim" in his speech. Pay attention that he will say God Bless but never says God Bless America.

The only way I can hear Obama is through captioning on the tv.

Oh yeah, Dr. Orly's getting death threats now and we still need that Birth Certificate issue settled!

Exactly history does not reveal that Hitler attacked America. The Liberals hate history because it reveals their flawed logic.

The screens are visible to everyone in attendance. They are out of the camera shot only if the camera choosed to go to a close-up of the speaker. I suggest that one reason for the elevated chin could be if he is reading down his nose as some bifocal or reading glasses wearers do. Since the media will not mention it we don’t know if he needs glasses, but most people his age do need them for reading.

$$$$$

I have noticed that. Those three words must be too hard for him to say - gives him lock jaw or something.

They didn’t retreat to the countryside or Scotland, but stayed at Buck House during the Blitz and were seen out and about after the bombings to encourage the Londoners and Union, and the Queen was a auto mechanic during the war for the Army. I’d say She was the FIRST person who should have been on the illustrous podium, none of the others (speakers)were trenched in first person experience of the war.

The Tory leader is quoted as saying he did not realize the importance of the 65th anniversary. BS!!!

These huge memorial ceremonies have only happened before in the decade years after D-Day, specifically 1984, 1994 and 2004. President Eisenhour wasn't interested in 1954. Johnson was busy in 1964, as was Nixon in 1974.

Except for the fact that there will be very few WWII men left in 2014, this whole thing was probably orchestrated by Obama. If he wanted something to conteract his apology tour, he didn't do a very good job of it.

He can't salute any better than he can stand at attention. What an embarrassment.

He always has a scowl when he salutes. His Hollywood coaches haven't gotten him to fake his way out of showing his derision yet.

Obama says he “likely” won’t be the last POTUS to honor the D-Day commemoration.

Did he really say that? If so, our suspicions have just been confirmed.

He really said it. Here's the full trasnscript of the speech at Normandy. Obama D-Day Speech: Full Text

Thank you for posting this live thread. I just watched President George W. Bush's speech from 2004. He really spoke from the heart. It was full of descriptions of the men who fought and died there and of the invasion itself. There was no campaigning or apology tour in it at all. It was beautifully written and delivered. I miss him as President.

I think that this was during the time GWB was being bashed by the DBM for his military service. In 2000 and 2004, nothing counted but going to VietNam. In 1992, 1996 and 2008, military service didn't matter at all.
