I normally watch Today on Saturday morning, since F&F Weekend isn’t what it used to be. Just had to switch after another long lost relative of Obama had been present at something or other making it oh so relevant for him.
We civilians are hard pressed to ever find the words to express our gratitude for these men.
My uncle would only talk about that day after a couple of shots when we would stay up late talking. He was very reticent- but my interest was keen and he would tell some parts. He also went on to the Battle of the Bulge. Years later when he was dying and knew he had but a few months left- my cousin traveled with him to Normandy and they traced the route across France.
Extraordinary men, all.
Soldier call to C-Span: Those Waffen SS were tough. We had to kill those SOBs twice.
God love him.
Leaders now walking to the overlook...speaking with two veterans...Michelle assisting a veteran up steps..
Well, he could point out that the muslim Mufti of Jerusalem was an ally of Hitler.
What a disgrace to have this appeaser, who loathes the military, representing our brave veterans.
It really is a disgrace, Guenevere. It is painful.
You now- I didn’t like it much when Bill Clinton was there either, but I’d give anything for it to be him there today. This man somehow defiles sacred ground.
Indeed. What might he say? “Sorry we Americans (along with Brits and Canadians) disturbed the ecology of this beach 65 years ago?”
I know- it will not be easy to watch.

Agreed. Now I am asking myself how much of a masochist I really must be.
In order to cope with this ‘commentary’ I sent this email to Foxnews:
For eight years, Wendell Goler and Chris Wallace, among other Fox reporters, refused to say “President Bush” more than once per broadcast. I do not hear “Mr Obama” from either of them. Is there a difference in the amount of respect that “journalists” accord presidents according to their political sentiments?
I tuned in this morning to see the coverage of the D-day ceremonies in Normandy, and am writing this to point out your reporters’ hypocrisy. Using the phrase “President Obama” just as the phrase “President Clinton” was used is correct.
I just wish your reporters didn’t insult President Bush for eight years, claiming that it was a question of ‘style.’
now = know
He's pathetic.
sw
Not funny.
(There’s a couple of gals on FoxNews that call him Mr. Obama on a regular basis-I couldn’t tell who-I don’t keep up with the names.)
Well, the teleprompter’s all set up.
LOL!!!
Will the teleprompter be set up at Normandy for Mr. O ?
