Susan Eisenhower is a supporter of Obama....:(
God bless your Dad, and please thank him for his service for us. It made a difference.
The WW2 vets talked very little about their exploits. To them, they were not the heroes. The heroes were the men, whose faces and voices are locked in their memories, who never came back.
That is the burden that veterans carry with them, that we who did not experience this cannot comprehend.
For your Dad, he has had to bear those thoughts, ever at the surface of his conciousness, for 65 years. Tell him that as long as he can tell their stories, they live.
Hang in there. Maybe we can mock him.
The Obamas turned down a dinner invite from the Sarkozys.
I “lkely” will not be the last ......????
Arrogance is hard to suppress.
Of course TOTUS is there. He can’t speak without it.
Wasn't that odd!
Likely? Audacity. Obamanation.
...and may I suggest her grandfather, President Dwight D. Eisenhower might be turning over in his grave by her choice :^
Here goes the teleprompter-in-chief. He tripped over the word Eisenhower!!!!!
He never studied American history in any of his fancy schools.
And he has not written very many speeches in his own history.
He is totally reliant on the words someone has put in front of him. He is so arrogant that he b’lieves he can fool all of the people all of the time - without even trying.
Well, the Chosen one has started speaking. Acting like he has a clue what he is reading about. I fear it will be “The Longest Speech.”
I hope the Rangers can make it to the top of the cliff and take out the teleprompters...
He’s not connected to what he’s saying . . . there’s no emotion in his voice. He’s reading a speech. That’s all.
He is odd.
I lkely will not be the last ......????
I had the same reaction?!?!?! Does he know something I don’t about the term limits of a Pres?
The mediocrity is stunning.
Excellent description. TOTUS is speaking.
It has all the emotion of a reduced Cliff’s Notes of D-Day.
GO TOTUS!
Brown tried to turn this into the job is only half done and we must have a global one world order.
Disgusting.
I tried to get Sarkozy’s speech on replay but caught Brown. Now I have Obama but it sounds like nothing more than a speech. No emotional value so I’m shutting it off.
Sticking with the folks here with real heartfelt memories and gratitude.
