Stmt of AG Eric Holder on DOJ's Outreach & Enforcement Efforts to Protect American Muslims
Dept of Justice ^ | June 4, 2009 | Eric Holder

Posted on 06/05/2009 11:53:27 AM PDT by callisto

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder released the following statement relating to President Obama’s historic speech today in Cairo, Egypt:

"The President's pledge for a new beginning between the United States and the Muslim community takes root here in the Justice Department where we are committed to using criminal and civil rights laws to protect Muslim Americans. A top priority of this Justice Department is a return to robust civil rights enforcement and outreach in defending religious freedoms and other fundamental rights of all of our fellow citizens in the workplace, in the housing market, in our schools and in the voting booth.

"There are those who will continue to want to divide by fear - to pit our national security against our civil liberties - but that is a false choice. We have a solemn responsibility to protect our people while we also protect our principles."

these are fighting words...

The straw that broke the camel's back! There's nothing like being a country violently attacked by muslim terrorists (That's right . . I used the word) and being told that the civil rights of muslims trumps our national security.

'a return to'. 'a return to'?
Now what the 'firetruck' is THAT supposed to mean! What is he inferring?

That Bush's AG's did nothing about civil rights? That they held Klan meetings in the DoJ's basement!? I guess he forgot about the persecution of the Border Patrol Agents and the PRISON TIME they served.

If I was Dubya's AG's I'd sue this low life quasi criminal son of a beech for slander. And I'd keep filing until some judge would let it proceed. (Judge shopping is not just for libs)

And I got his 'a return to' right "here".

I won't hold my breath waiting for them to announce a federal investigation of muslim converts in prison.

Did The White House Call Off Investigations Into Black Muslim Convert Extremists? (Important!!!!!)
According to ABC News, Stratfor, and Doug Ross, yes. From Doug Ross:

A disturbing aspect of the attack is that Muhammad had been brought to the FBI's attention months ago, according to ABC News.

But U.S. counterterror teams may have been intentionally prevented from investigating radicalized converts to Islam:

Several weeks ago, STRATFOR heard from sources that the FBI and other law enforcement organizations had been ordered to "back off" of counterterrorism investigations into the activities of Black Muslim converts. At this point, it is unclear to us if that guidance was given by the White House or the Department of Justice, or if it was promulgated by the agencies themselves, anticipating the wishes of President Barack Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder.

"...the FBI and other law enforcement organizations had been ordered to "back off" of counterterrorism investigations into the activities of Black Muslim converts."

Including their surveillance of the muslim killer of the Little Rock recruiter (after his travels to Yemen on a forged passport.

How much more could Holder have protected muslim-americans?

Will Holder's DOJ provide a legal escort to the next muslim shooter for a better getaway?

I have it on solid terms that in the Obama OutReach Era, jihadi murders like this will no longer happen.

This was the last gasp of the Old - the pre Obama period.

So, investigation called off, and this guy runs amuck.

Way to go.

I’m beginning that the adminstration is telling the truth that it wasn’t bow. Everyone was agasp in the video because he actually “kissed the ring” IMO.

The title and the story don't match. Is he accused of inciting violence against state official, or of being a white supremacist?
