I think we hurt ourselves at time like this. It makes us look like a bunch of fruitloops, when we trash someone doing something we should appreciate if anyone would.

Nancy was heard saying, “ I knew Ronald Reagan. You sir, are no Ronald Reagan.”

when the guy is helping to honor someone we have a great deal of respect for, and we trounce him anyway.
I believe most are referring to his 'intent' - is it sincere? It's all for his political gain - so how sincere is it. I will not laud him in any way - what did he really do? To honor a man is to take up where he left off - does that describe BO?
When someone smiles at you while putting the knife in your back, do you praise him because he was most pleasant?

I agree. She was treated with great respect.

Please explain how this guy ‘used’ Nancy Reagan. For what, to honor her husband? Good grief. This isn’t putting a knife in her back or ours.
He obviously disagrees with much of what Reagan stood for, and yet he still honored him and spoke highly of him.
Sometimes my fellow Conservatives, we must meet gracious behavior with gracious behavior.
Then, yes, we will go back to stabbing each other in the back. That is to be expected.

I think she is vulnerable to being used. Lets face it, she’s up there in years and although she means well, she might not catch one fast pitch aimed in her direction.
She was so frail, and yet she traveled to Washington, D.C. for this. It’s probably one of the last things she’ll travel to Washington, D.C. for, and I am glad Obama gave her that opportunity.

...are referring to his 'intent' - is it sincere? It's all for his political gain - so how sincere is it. Failing to perceive plain action and trying to diagnose intent takes us into the realm of Hate Crime taking precedence over actual crime.
You then reverse and claims that he is:
When someone smiles at you while putting the knife in your back, do you praise him because he was most pleasant?
Look, we all know the guy is the living embodiment of Benito Mussilini, but few of us are ready to say he is the anti-christ as well.

"Give it a rest on this one. He treated her with dignity and class."
It's about time, after his gaffe about her at his post-election press conference.

Much? That means he agreed on somethings - please enlighten us what are they? How did he honor him - spoke 'kind' words and helped a former first lady across the stage? Big deal - it was all for political gain and IT WORKED!
Sometimes my fellow Conservatives, we must meet gracious behavior with gracious behavior.
Gracious behavior for political gain stinks! That is, if one has the nose to smell it. I think we went over and beyond being gracious to political thugs for many years - being PC - and look what we gained.

Yes, she's old and destitute and w/o O she couldn't have seen DC one last time!. What a guy! /s
She hates to travel but the bait was for 'her husband's memory'. Of course, she would go.
You need desperately to appear 'gracious' - go ahead, enjoy the moment.

Okay, okay, I'll sign the damn thing! Just don't hit me with your cane!
