SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — North Korea is preparing to launch three or four medium-range missiles, along with an intercontinental ballistic missile, amid moves by Kim Jong Il to anoint his third son as heir to the world's first communist dynasty, reports and experts said Tuesday.

South Korea's Yonhap news agency said the North is preparing to fire three to four medium-range missiles from Anbyon on its east coast.

"Many vehicles mounted with mobile launchers are being spotted" at Anbyon, Yonhap quoted an unnamed government official saying. "It looks like at least three missiles will be launched."

The North has also transported what is believed to be its most advanced intercontinental ballistic missile to a base near China in the west, officials confirmed.

Saber rattling. Give obama a few years and they'll have ICBMs pointed all over the place. For now Chavez is still consolidating power. North Korea and Iran are poised to lose power if they don't act.

I’d say NK more so than Iran because Kim has got his nukes. If he doesn’t make that count for something real instead of just pissing people off, he’s done, as you say. Iran, on the other hand, has a lot more time to play “chicken” because they supposedly don’t have a nuke yet and Iran has dogs in several more fights than the NK does. In other words, Iran is on a bigger stage with more actors than the NK has.

They have been developing weapons together for decades. It is safe to assume some sort of mutual planning goes along with that. If Iran was ever to act, or NK, what better time could they possibly have other than simultaneous?

No one raising the possibility of a multipronged attack. Nk, Iran, and the third party more easily definable next year.

Third party could be a HUGE wave of Mexicans fleeing across the border due to imploding Mexico and a Mexican Civil War between the drug gangs and government troops.

Give Obama nothing. He must be taken out by the Supreme Court or next elections before he has any more chance to destroy us any further.

They are not coordinated enough. If an Israeli/Iranian or a North Korean/anything breaks out, I would not be suprised to see the other act. These countries have diverted massive amounts of time, energy, aggravation, and capital. This is the culmination. There are plenty of others on the sideline, eyeing their neighbor for whatever reason. I would expect a few to act. I can't believe this joke we've got in the white house (no caps). I don't want my son drafted.

hell no, they are gearing up for war. The DMZ has been a hair away from erupting for years. It won’t take an ant stepping across that boarder to start WWIII.

So, the plan is basically to reduce Seoul to rubble, loot the rest of the country, and stand the ‘mericans down with nukular weapons?

There’s no need to stare the Americans down. Zero will shake Kim’s hand with a double hand grasp, give him a pack of CD’s and invite him to a state dinner and a round of golf......and maybe take in a Broadway show.

I’m afraid Gates doesn’t realize he’s going to be made a scapegoat for zero’s military and foreign policy failures.

>>So, the plan is basically to reduce Seoul to rubble, loot the rest of the country, and stand the ‘mericans down with nukular weapons?<<

well figure it this way. We have many service people on the line of the DMZ every day. They serve for up to a year there generally.
Obama will leave them as sacrificial lambs while S Korea is squashed like a bug by N Korea (being supported through the back door by China)
Then after the dirty deed is done, Obama will continue his approach of open handed back slapping peace loving negotiation with terrorists regimes while becoming a dictator with his own people.
Demanding that the N Koreans be left alone so we do not do more damage.

Look at what he is doing in Islamic countries, abandoning democracy and addressing ALL of Islam as one Nation now.
it is exactly what Bin laden was trying to do .. unite them all under one flag.

Bin Laden didn’t need to attack us to unite All the Arab nations, all he had to do was wait till this idiot was elected, he is doing it all by himself without crashing one plane.
