A right to life individual has gunned down a physician who committed late term abortions.

People who see the killing of the unborn as murder, are pleased that this doctor will no longer be committing abortions.

An Army recruiter has been gunned down and killed on a Little Rock street.

People who see the recruitment of young men and women as evil, because some of them might be killed or severely wounded in action, are pleased this person will no longer be recruiting our youth to serve in the armed forces.

Whatever my opinion on both of these events is, it's not my opinion that matters.  What matters is that there are people out there who will support one of these two events.  I don't support either of them.

When we abandon the law, to conduct or approve of one of these actions, we make it reasoned for people who disagree with us to resolve their differences by the same method.

We don't agree with late term abortions.  They don't agree with recruitment.  Each of us thinks the other group approves of terrorist tactics.

I see a lot of folks winking and nodding around here.  They are so thrilled that an abortion doctor has just been forcably 'retired'.  Folks, these two events should be a good example of why you are incredibly wrong to be somewhat happy about the abortion doctor's murder.  You don't seem to understand that when hunting season is open, so you can resolve your differences with a gun, hunting season is also open for others to resolve their differences with a gun.

Do we want to see Wall Street people gunned down?  Do we want to see bankers gunned down?  Do we want to see Pastors gunned down?  Do we want to see judges gunned down?  Do we want to see Conservatives gunned down?

When you open the doors to street justice, you allow anyone with a gun to become judge and juror.

I find both of these murders to be unacceptable.  The ramifications are too dire to contemplate.  If people who profess to support the rule of law are willing to wink and nod when people they disapprove of are gunned down, then we've lost the battle.  Conservatism is dead.

Conservatives will not be killed by liberals.

Liberals, by their very nature, require gov’t agents to do their killing for them.

It will be outside the rule of law, but it will be the government being the “trigger man”.

You are making an argument with two things that are in no way morally equivilent. Your argument that military recruiting and peforming abortions are morally equivilent is preposterous. You need to rethink this position, you insult all military people and all citizens of this country.

No. But with the swearing-in by the Chief Justice Roberts of the non-”Natural Born” usurper Obama — the Rule if Law is comatose.

I think, though, that if you try to compare US servicemen to abortionists the "moral equivalence" falls apart in a hurry.

Do you know anyone that doesn't believe killing a fully-formed baby in the last trimester isn't an act of murder unless medical action is necessary to save the life of the mother?

Very good and sensible post, too bad many people will dismiss it.

All this hand wringing about “OMG, look what someone said “ , is a bunch of BS.

This is how I feel, too. Appreciate your words, although I fear you might get flamed for them.
