Planned Parenthood vs. Planned Parenthood Posted on September 15, 2007 by Neil
Marc T. Newman, Ph.D., President of MovieMinistry.com, gave a terrific presentation at the CareNet Pregnancy Center Fall Fundraiser this week.
One of the most intriguing things he mentioned was a Planned Parenthood advertisement published in 1964 to promote birth control. Read the whole thing, then consider this from the Q&A section:
Is it [birth control] an abortion?
Definitely not. An abortion kills the life of a baby after it has begun. It is dangerous to your life and health. It may make you sterile so that when you want a child you cannot have it. Birth control merely postpones the meaning of life.
There you have it! Straight from the experts at Planned Parenthood. Read that again and try not to drown in the irony.
So Planned Parenthood used to teach that abortion kills a baby and poses medical risks to the mother. As Dr. Newman asked, what did Planned Parenthood learn since the early 1960s that caused them to change their stance on what abortion really does? carenet-walk-05-55.jpg
Could it be the sonograms and 4-D ultrasounds? No, those do more than anything to promote the pro-life view. Technology is the enemy of pro-legalized-abortionists and it always will be. They might have gotten away with the blob of tissue argument in the 60s, but not today.
Could it be the studies showing the impact of abortion on women? No. Despite major political pressure, more studies continue to show the adverse impact abortion has on women both physically and emotionally.
Or could it be the megabucks they make from abortions that caused them to change their minds?! money.jpg
Folks, always remember that when it comes to abortion, Planned Parenthood had it right the first time: An abortion kills the life of a baby after it has begun. It is dangerous to your life and health.
Be sure to quote them on that whenever you can.
More on Planned Parenthood here.
Well isn’t that special.
You do a great service by posting this. Thank you and God bless you.
But Pope Paul VI warned that contraception would lead to abortion would lead to euthenasia would reduce society to barbarism.
Another gem! Thanks for bringing this to our attention Doug. Great work as usual.

Well, with the socialized health care we’ll get the euthanasia... and after the second civil war, in which the government unleashes atomic, biological, and chemical weapons on its own citizens we will certainly be in barbarism.
welcome back to the party PP
Wow. What changed their tune, when they realized the $$$$ that could be made?
Ding, Ding, Ding,
They know what abortion is, that is why they are so crafty in their public campaign to make it acceptable. because they know what it is. Any thinking person knows what it is.
It is interesting that he made that connection. It seems he was correct but I have no idea why those things would connect in that way. To me I see no harm in birth control and in fact it should have made having children more special- more dear to the parents. It is logical that if couples could postpone having children they would have time to strengthen their bond as a couple, and would enjoy planned children more, cherish them more, be better able to provide them with a happy stable home. It worked out that way for hubby and I and many others I know...but in many ways it seems to have had the opposite effect on many people. Many seemed to think birth control was permission to have sex without consequences- a green light for low morals, not simply family planning.
Abortion and euthenasia to me do indeed have a direct connection; they both take away from the value of life. I also think abortion and euthenasia have no place in a civilized society. There is nothing civilized about killing babies or the elderly/handicapped. I cannot imagine how anyone could think otherwise.
This ad was published a decade before abortion was generally legalized by RvW.
At that time, although there were "D&C" operations which were tantamount to abortion, they were hush-hush and abortion was a dirty word.
Good point. And, have you noticed the number of young women with babies lately?
History won't be too kind to those alive during the Fetal Holocaust.
That is awesome.
Ping!
Good stuff
Nice catch.
Who would have thought we, THE GREATEST COUNTRY ON EARTH, would be allowing, encouraging and in some instances paying for the murdering of over 2000 babies every single stinking day!
good point
Pope Paul VI warned
Incremental decline into barbarism.
