Police have a suspect description. The suspect is described as a white male in his 50’s or 60’s with grey hair that is balding in the middle. He is about 6’1” and about 220 pounds and was wearing a white shirt and dark pants.
The suspect was last seen in a light blue Ford Taurus, possibly an early 1990’s model. It has a K-State vanity plate and a Kansas license plate number 225 BAB.
Tiller was the victim of violence before. On June 9, 1986 someone detonated a homemade bomb on the roof of his Wichita clinic. No one was hurt
During the Summer of Mercy in 1991, protesters blocked the entrance to his facility before a federal judge ruled the protesters be arrested.
Two years later, Dr. Tiller was shot outside his clinic the evening of August 19, 1993. His wounds were not life threatening. Abortion opponent Shelly Shannon was convicted of that shooting and sentenced to prison.
Let’s not assume this has anything to do with abortion. Until I hear differently, I’m going with a gay lovers’ spat.
What is sad is that abortion is the law of the land. If you want one you can have one. Over 40 million lives have been destroyed since Roe vs. Wade .....

Ladies and gentlemen ... the problem was not this guy. The problem was (and is) the law that allows this guy to exist.
No lives were saved with this killing. These women will just go elsewhere. The problem exists today just as it did yesterday ... with the added problem of a bloodthirsty anti-abortion nut running around tarnishing the pro-life image.

Hearts need to be changed in order to end abortion. This will not change hearts. We are making progress peacefully.
This will do for Obama the same thing that Timothy McVeigh did for Clinton, marginalize his opponents as extremists in the public mind and shut down the developing scrutiny .

Nor do I here. But I will say a prayer for his departed soul that perhaps, somehow, he may find rest.
I hope everyone here is intelligent enough not to openly celebrate this murder. For all we know, he might have cut the guy off on traffic, or been his ex-brother-in-law, nobody knows yet. But whatever, that was a sick SOB to shoot a man as he walked into church.
Innocent people, maybe kids, had to watch that. And on top of that, if a man is walking owards a church, theres always hope God is about to speak to his heart that day.
Not cool on church steps. Not in the least.
