Come on folks! Any AF1 is an "Air Force Jet." I see nothing wrong with a President utilizing one of the smaller jets in the fleet, also equipped with his communications and security stuff, if it is suitable for his purpose. Almost anything is cheaper than flying a 747 for two people.
As for Dubya, do you think he ever flew up to Maine to have dinner with his folks? I don't know if he ever came up to NYC for a show, but I'm pretty certain that the Slickster did. I think the Reagans attended an opera or two here. There's a lot, REALLY A LOT, to criticize Obama for but coming to NYC every six months or so, and possibly generating interest in the things he does or the places he visits is not one of them. The restaurant where he ate and the theater he attended are owned by capitalists who are going to see increased business due to his visit.

OOPS! I should referenced Larry Sinclair.

Time for another cup of coffee.
Autograph seekers for the Pop Culture President.
The look on Mr. SS Agent’s face, who appears to be about two seconds away from taking out Mr. Homeless $500.00 Blackberry ... Priceless.
The Neros actually don’t look too bad.
On the other hand...I know that particular choice of play was about “keepin’ it real”, but I think if I were taking a lady out on a theater date, I’d want to pick something more fun.
So, the new Presidential limousine, “The Beast” was brought up to New York City, suspended on a glorified bungee cord, beneath a helicopter?
I want to see photos of that, lol.
Wonder how many unemployed thanks to the obama meltdown would like to have a night on the town??
Pray for Amercia and Our Troops
Taxpayers are on the hook for an extra $55,000 a household to cover rising federal commitments made just in the past year for retirement benefits, the national debt and other government promises, a USA TODAY analysis shows. The 12% rise in red ink in 2008 stems from an explosion of federal borrowing during the recession, plus an aging population driving up the costs of Medicare and Social Security. That's the biggest leap in the long-term burden on taxpayers since a Medicare prescription drug benefit was added in 2003. The latest increase raises federal obligations to a record $546,668 per household in 2008, according to the USA TODAY analysis. That's quadruple what the average U.S. household owes for all mortgages, car loans, credit cards and other debt combined. "We have a huge implicit mortgage on every household in America except, unlike a real mortgage, it's not backed up by a house," says David Walker, former U.S. comptroller general, the government's top auditor.
They both look quite orange, in the daylight shots and the nighttime shots. That’s stage makeup for the cameras. Photo op from the get-go.
But...but...aren't we supposed to be reducing our 'carbon footprint' with cars the size of can openers, lightbulbs we can't see with, & turning down our thermostats?...what a phoney..
But really...of all the shows running back there right now, they picked that? They must be a lot of fun at parties.
Yeah. Couldn’t they have gone to see “Wicked”? Just sayin.
Wow! she looks really mad. I see Barry’s not wearing a tie. Most muslims when they get dressed up eschew a tie because it signifies an acceptance of western civilization , capitalism, imperialism and whatever else they call it.
Bankrupt GM car? Any $$$ change hands on this purchase or is it a barter deal?
Well, it was a politically correct type of night.
The restaurant features locally grown food. That earns them brownie points with the vegan/veggie/healthy food crowd. And the play was about someone coming to terms with the history of slavery. That will earn them brownie points with the politically correct crowd. I hope though that those people don’t expect him to push for reparations for slavery after seeing that play.
controversy when the CEOs....
and those guys were going to MEETINGS, not Bdway plays!
What a fraud.

Oh, you’re just making too much sense today! ;) I agree 100%
