I prefer Ninja tabis.
I WANT!
They may be ugly, but my Birks are the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever owned. And, every time I look at them, I’m reminded to write a letter to my senators, donate money to a conservative cause, or buy ammo.

There are several varities. I think my friend has the “KSO” version.

My question is about these is do they keep the sand out when walking in the surf? I have Merril water shoes which are great but if you walk in the surf the sand doesn’t leave with the water and it’s well like sand paper and eats my feet alive. I’m a diabetic and supposed to wear shoes when on my feet. I don’t on the beach because of the sand problem. If I do wear them I have to wear socks which prevents the sand from rubbing my feet raw. That kind of defeats the purpose of the water shoes. It keeps my feet wet as well which isn’t too great when it’s cooler.
This is so you can grip a rope with your feet while climbing. I don't see the point of the all-toe shoe.
I call them slap-sucks.
LOL. I had some of those “toe socks” when I was a teen and they were not easy to get on.
Yellow dress...Nice Butt! Shoes...Butt Ugly!
The reason for my post was that I knew David Goggins feat was almost superhuman so I did Google tarahumaras running.
When I didn't find anything even vaguely resembling your assertion that
"This tribe is known to be able to run distances of 100 miles in a day and run those distances for days in a row"
I posted my response.
Second, you're citing a x distance in y amount of time.
Which you did as well ... citing 100 miles per day for several days in a row.
Which seemed unbelievable to me
Hmmmm ... turns out it was, but feel free to rely on your "memory" anytime you feel the need
First, you’re making a way too big a deal out of something that isn’t. For Pete’s sake, the post is about FUNNY LOOKING SHOES that might help people run in barefoot! Coincidentally and purposefully, THIS is what the tarahumaras are known for (hence the reason for the comment).
Second, you apparently didn’t read or Google too well, as there are annual running “festivals” that the tamahumaras participate in where they do run over 50 miles a day and these festivals last for several days. I remembered something similar to that and that was the fact I recalled.
Third, I’m sure David Goggins didn’t run in barefeet to set is record, did he? So what the tarahumaras do is actually incredible whether its 30 miles, 50 miles or 100 miles in a day. If you want to compare apples-to-apples...
Fourth, get over yourself; you or I aren’t writing a scientific paper here. It isn’t like my assertion was being used for the calculations to send a man to the moon.
And, as it turns out, my memory is actually pretty much accurate and still amazing (even if not amazing enough for the you, the director of the David Goggins fanboy club).
Shheesshh.
