Upon rewinding the DVR, he quoted:
"She HAS diabetes. And that might be a good thing, because she will likely not live as long as recent Justices are wont to do."
Then a quote from HotAir as well.
No link, this is from the live broadcast of the O'Reilly Factor.
I wish I had seen or heard the segment. The post I referred to was the only reference I saw while on FR yesterday.
That quote does have substance, most people with diabetes do die younger than those without.
If she is confirmed that would be a plus!
“I must have read close to a thousand posts here at FR about the judge, I dont recall even one that referred to her looks.”
Where would BOR get the idea that looks are messed with, at FR?
Certainly never done with Hillary, Nancy, Ruth or Michelle...right?
“It IS inappropriate.”
I think it’s totally appropriate!!
I approve of it 100%
I've had it with O'Reilly. I turn on his show because he's got a guest of interest scheduled and then the poor guest doesn't get an opportunity to slip a word in edgewise. Bill just loves the sound of his own voice I gather.
Plus have you noticed that the addition of Glenn Beck to the Fox line-up seems to have had the effect of pushing O'Reilly to the left? I mean, the guy acts as if he never heard of the U.S. Constitution before. Further, his contempt for conservatives is increasingly ill-concealed.
And now this gratuitous insult of FR! O'Reilly is currying favor from whom here? I mean, who does he think would be pleased by that remark? I gather that's the kind of audience he wants to appeal to.
But it ain't me. Had enuf. Time to turn the channel.
O’Reilly is using FReeRepublic as his Fair and Balanced. I say FReepers should inform him to stop it, time to move on to other “conservative” “blogs” !!
BOR is a sexual harrassing, phone porn addicted jerk off. Ignore him.
oh he routinely refers to the Daily KOS as THE most hateful site on the net. but, he wants to appear evenhanded and throws up some stupidity from FR to attempt to be balanced. we always have someone willing to oblige. of course he never says that anyone saying anything nasty like that on FR is invariably BLASTED by our own here, so that leaves a misimpression.
“She does not strike me as the kind who exercises that discipline. I doubt she’ll last as long on the bench as you might imagine.”
She’s also fat which is a death penalty to a lot of people with diavetes.
You were not the source. Just an update.
More like an unexercised chubby, but in a type 1 definitely a sign of improper use of insulin.
she was diagnosed as a child, she has juvenile diabetes, which cannot be outgrown. thanks for your good wishes. she takes good care of herself and is educated about what she needs to do.
Exactly.
"I pray that she receives Jesus and changes her evil ways! That would be the best way! But if the diabetes takes her, then so be it. I will praise the Lord in either case."
To: Miss Didi
HAD diabetes? Nope, she HAS diabetes. And that might be a good thing, because she will likely not live as long as recent Justices are wont to do.
Pardon the un-PC.

Jedidah, 'un-pc' does not decribe your comment, as$#@le does, however.
I videotaped him.
Here is my post in another thread. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2259434/posts?page=24#24
I think the thread he got the quote from is this one:

I never said there were no complications for Type1 diabetes, I said trying to argue its a reason to disqualify her is idiotic.
This woman has more than enough reasons to be fought on merits, trying to argue she is unfit to serve because shes got diabetes? Sorry, but thats idiotic.
High Stress Job? SCOTUS??? Picking and choosing the cases you will hear, Listening to arguments, asking questions and writing and researching opinions in a nice climate controlled environment at your own time and pace is not a high stress job.
Sure if it was 1789 and they were traveling the country in carriage to hold sessions etc Id give you some concern, but the SCOTUS is not by any definition a high stress job. Other than the very rare emergency case, you know damned well what question is being put before you months before you take your seat, you and your staff have already researched and discussed the issue ad naseum for months.
You keep floating that stupid balloon for the left, and make all on the right look like doofus because thats all you are doing with trying to argue this women is unfit because she has Type 1 diabetes.
This woman needs to be opposed based on her record, not on her ability to produce insulin.

I hate to be cruel, but her type 1 diabetes is a good thing for our side, since she likely will not have a long life. My SIL has type 1 and is 54 and has lost a leg and her eyesight. She has had three heart attacks. Her days will likely be short on this earth.
Truth is not cruel unless unspoken. My heartfelt sympathies to all who suffer from this...I know it can have a wide range of effects...
