Is it okay to show your patriotism at the office?
For one Arlington woman, the answer was "no" after she hung an American flag in her office just before the Memorial Day weekend.
Debbie McLucas is one of four hospital supervisors at Kindred Hospital in Mansfield. Last week, she hung a three-by-five foot American flag in the office she shares with the other supervisors.
When McLucas came to work Friday, her boss told her another supervisor had found her flag offensive. "I was just totally speechless. I was like, 'You're kidding me,'" McLucas said.

Frankly, this is appalling, it makes me heart sick.
I am flummoxed. Is this really possible? How can this be?
I marched in a Memorial Day parade with my son who is a Cub Scout. I got choked up and a bit teary-eyed when I saw an elderly vetran struggle to get up out of his wheelchair to give the American flag a most respectful, crisp salute. It absolutely breaks my heart to hear stories like this when I think about the countless men and women who died for our freedoms.
this is unbelievable!!!!!
BREAKING:
Statement from Kindred on the Kindred Healthcare website dated today...apparently now they are letting the flag back up:
“Kindred Hospital Mansfield has a great deal of appreciation for the service that many of our employees and their families have given to their country. We honor our veterans and active military through a variety of benefits and service programs. This was an isolated incident between two employees that we are working to resolve amicably. Both employees have family members who have served in the military. The disagreement was over the size of the flag and not what it symbolized. We have invited the employee to put the flag back up. We share their love of country and we appreciate the service of their family members as well as all members of the armed forces.”

14 years ago would be 1994 which makes him likely a Somali muslim “refugee”. This type of intimidation is SOP for them. They have been steeped in victimhood and how to work the system by the pinkos who imported them.
The disagreement was over the size of the flag and not what it symbolized.
Horse Sh*T
1)Why was the flag put on the floor?
2)How was the employee “offended” by the SIZE???
I caught it. Can’t say anymore without getting kicked out.
Mike
I wondered that myself.
You should be offended, and you probably are, by the people who give in to the demands of the offended. The hidden purpose of politically correctness is to silence opposition to the Leftist movement.
thanks for posting this - I wear a flag EVERY SINGLE DAY and sorta wonder when someone will say it’s a little extreme. Now that I know NY has a LAW allowing it, I just might bring in a desk flag! That’ll really piss off the young’uns who are still so “inspired” by the “O”
The disagreement was over the size of the flag and not what it symbolized

I know many African Christians, and they are grateful to be here.
The Church I attended in Philly, when I lived there, was led by a Liberian pastor.
We prayed every Sunday for our soldiers.
Yes, I am pretty sure that "afrcian" in this case is a euphemism for Muslim.
These weenies learned it backwards. All the leftists need to be schooled on what free speech means.
I would hope (a good obi word) that I would have said, “Excuse me, but please do not touch any of my personal items without my permission. Also, why did you desecrate the flag by putting it on the floor? Next, please show me where it is written that American flags are forbidden. If you can show me that, please let me talk to a hospital attorney so he can explain this to me before I file my lawsuit.”
Means nothing unless they're referring to the US military.
kindredhealthcare posted on their website that they had “invited the employee to put the flag back up”. Was that the same “offensive sized” flag?
