Can anyone tell me if the walk from the Lincoln Memorial to the U.S. Capitol is flat?

Everything there is pretty flat. There is a bit of a hill at the Washington Monument.

You can see the yes and no. There is a small hilly area you go up or down near the Lincoln Memorial; once you’re at the Mall it’s completely flat.

The Washington Monument is on a grassy knoll, and both the Capitol and Lincoln Memorial are on hills with gentle slopes, but if you have trouble getting around, I think the distance is going to be the biggest problem. It’s about 2 miles from one end of the Mall to the other.

flat but a long, long walk — at least two miles.
