Get your plans set and join Freepers from across the U.S. for the 1st. annual Freeper National Tea Party Convention!
This event is open only to Registered Freepers, their families and friends.
Ill be coordinating this event with the MOST appreciated help from seekthetruth. For now I (Brytani) am collecting names of those who are committed to going to D.C. with us. Once we have a realistic idea of how many Freepers are aboard, I will be contacting Hotels in D.C. to find a group or convention rate.
We already have a few wonderful Hotels on our list and dont want to wait until they are filled up. The plan is simple and will take only a FreepMail but time is of the essence!!! Hotels in D.C. are filling up fast!!!
Please send Brytani a FreepMail if you are going to D.C. or if youre strongly considering attending. For now I need your FreeperID, the number of room you will need the how many people will be in your party. If you have any questions please ask them on this thread or if youd prefer you can FreepMail me.
During the first week of June I will announce the Hotel, room rate, address, perks etc and when and how your reservation will need to be made.
For those who are considering joining us but have not completely committed, please FreepMail as well. This will give me a better idea of how many room to inquire on.
If you are already attending please consider staying with Freepers from around the nation. Youll have the opportunity to meet people youve been talking to for years and make new FRriends.
Come on everyone get on board!!! Save a bit of money! Could you ask for a better group of people to spend a weekend with?
Thanks to JimRob for allowing us to make this event an official Free Republic function.
FREEPER HELP NEEDED!!
Belive it or not, seekthetruth nor I have ever put together a ping list, though we’re on many list outselves.
Would a Freeper who has experience in ping list either explain to us how to make one OR********************
Would someone who has the time to do a ping list please volunteer to be our official Convention Ping List person?!?!
Insomniac and West Coast Bump
AND HUBBY AND I CAN'T WAIT TO BE A PART OF THE 9/11 ACTIVITIES!
I am sure all Freepers will want to join us as we gather at the hotel at 6:00PM and have a tribute to the 9/11 victims.
Then we gather at Walter Reed to honor our military and show support for our troupes with flags and signs that we wave outside Walter Reed. God Bless our military!

I don’t know about ‘bookmarking’ but I am registered on my state forum and have posted about this there. Thanks for helping Brytani with this; I know how much work something like this entails. :)
Now if you could help Brytani and I on how to make a ping list for thread posting, we sure helped each other! :) I know how to make a long “ping list” for sending FReepmail messages, but don't know how to for adding to the send box above a post on a thread. Thanks! Jeannie
2) Upchuck and I maintain the SC Ping list. You save the list and the html code you want to use with it in a text file on your computer. Then you just copy and paste the text when you want to send a ping. If you want I can throw a "sample ping" together and post it over in the sandbox.
Great! You could commit for the room for one night and then always add the second later. We just need the commits for number to tell hotel in getting the best deal.
Thanks so much for helping us. I am a show me gal, as not very tech savvy. Need all the help I can get! :)
Hubby and I have already booked our room and were planning on coming on the 11th. We would like to be at the seminars on the 10th- how do we get tickets for that event?
Brytani,
The Hilton, right on the corner of the Mall, has great prices through Priceline. Bet they come through.
Hubby and I have already booked our room and were planning on coming on the 11th. We would like to be at the seminars on the 10th- how do we get tickets for that event?
That information will be posted here when things are finalized. Keep checking here. You will be added to a ping list too.
COME ON FREEPERS! WE NEED JUST FIVE MORE ROOMS AND WE HAVE MET OUR GOAL! I was hoping more FL Freepers could make it!
Trust me, you will want to be in on this hotel deal and for sure attend our National Freeper Tea Party Convention! Those who are “maybe” coming folks need to get in on our number of Freepers committing to a room!
This is going to be a “NOT TO MISS” Freeper Convention! :)
PLEASE FREEPMAIL ME WITH YOUR QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS.
ONLY FREEPMAIL BRYTANI TO LET HER KNOW YOU ARE WANTING TO BE IN THE COUNT FOR A ROOM AT THE HOTEL CHOSEN AND IF YOU ARE ATTENDING THE FREEPER CONVENTION EVENTS.
Brytani has other things to tend to, so if you have questions please FREEPMAIL me or Address them to me on the thread. Thanks so much! Jean
I’m glad SC Swampfox could help you with the ping list, ‘cause I’m mostly technology challenged ;-)
Thanks for the how to do the bookmark thing.
Two more FReepers committed to a room so now we are just need THREE MORE ROOMS taken!
I wish I could share some of the things being planned, but we have to finalize and confirm before we do. We don't want to say something will take place and then have it fall through.
Just trust me when I say you will NOT WANT TO MISS THIS FREEPER CONVENTION! And being in the same hotel with other Freepers is just too much fun to miss!
Tell you what! If you FReepers who are “maybe’s” like hot stuff, I will make you a deal. THE NEXT THREE FREEPERS who commit for a room get a jar of my home made “Hot Pepper Jelly”!
Hot Pepper Jelly is a jelly you eat on crackers with a little cream cheese. But I do have friends who love it on their bagels in the morning! They sell Hot Pepper Jelly in stores but I am told mine is the best!
Okay, I’m in. (or had you already counted me?)
Great SC Swamp Fox! Please Freepmail Brytani so you will be on the list! Tell her in your note you also will receive a jar of Jeannie’s Hot Pepper Jelly when we meet in DC! :)
I meant to add that I do not know if Brytani already counted you. If you had freepmailed her, she did. So just have to see if you are already on the list. :)
Another Florida FReeper just committed so only ONE ROOM TO GO TO MEET OUR GOAL!
Brytani just put out a “LAST DAY TO CONFIRM YOUR ATTENDANCE THREAD” Here:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2261796/posts
When we first began planning our convention we had a goal to confirm 100 room by May 31.
As of five minutes ago this goal was met. Our 100th confirmed freeper is credo 2 (stand up and take a bow).
Please remember this does not mean we will not have room for you to attend the convention but we needed at least 100 rooms to book a block at a hotel to get the best rate.
FREEPERS ARE THE BEST!!
