Excerpted From Doug Ross at Director Blue:
A tipster alerted me to an interesting assertion. A cursory review by that person showed that many of the Chrysler dealers on the closing list were heavy Republican donors.
To quickly review the situation, I took all dealer owners whose names appeared more than once in the list. And, of those who contributed to political campaigns, every single one had donated almost exclusively to GOP candidates. While this isnt an exhaustive review, it does have some ominous implications if it can be verified.
However, I also found additional research online at Scribd (author unknown), which also appears to point to a highly partisan decision-making process.
I have thus far found only a single Obama donor (and a minor one at that: $200 from Jeffrey Hunter of Waco, Texas) on the closing list.
You should read the whole thing as it contains not only more information, but damning updates from Cars.com

Ouch... What about demographics? Minority owned will be the survivors?
I checked the original source - they could find only one significant Obama supporter on the reject list (thats what you get for donating only $200 bucks).
Mark Levin will have to stop referring to him as Milhous. Zero has taken his tactics to a whole new level.
I can only hope that if dealerships have been closed based on a political litmus test, rather than economics, that this will blow up on 0. But I have my doubts, since the MSM won't touch the story.
Maybe this could be one of those stories where bloggers will do the heavy lifting.
Fact: Most non-Government employers are GOPers.
I prefer to call him Millstone.
As in the millstone around our necks.
Only one question: what was the breakdown of donatations by part affliation of those dealers who were not closed down.
My guess and it is only a guess is that most dealers donate to the GOP.
But if it is true that donors who gave to the Rat party are staying open then the Republicans in the House and Senate, sons and daughters of courage that they are, should shut the place down.
Did he do the same analysis on non-shuttered Chrysler dealers? Certain professions lean one way or the other.
“Fact: Most non-Government employers are GOPers.”
OK, but were there ANY significant Obama donors who were closed down?
If the story gets picked up on Rush and the rest of talk radio, blus getting hot on the blogosphere, the MSM will at some point have no choice.
Probably not.
Sound like Chicago-style politics to me!
LOL
Hate to use the Nazi comparison, but the similarities are striking. Government coercion to force business to agree with the administration. ACORN suppling the brown shirts to intimidate the opposition. A willing press to suppress the facts, and use personal attacks to quell dissent. Now a known racist/bigot being placed on the SCOTUS to validate any and all actions obama makes. You must howl like the wolves or the wolves will devour you.
That is why at the polls in Illinois you are asked to declare a party. The voter lists are accessible and politicians use those lists to weed out those candidates not of their political party.
Is Chrysler’s selection procedure subject to FOI, since they’re basically a government agency now?
A better question is “What is the breakdown of political contributions of those that survived?”
I am certain that you will see more of this throughout the private sector when getting “selected” for government bailouts. Nothing new.
