Laura Ingraham to hold Event(s) for Floridas Marco Rubio: On her show Thursday, Laura Ingraham promised to hold events in Florida for Senate primary candidate Marco Rubio. Rubio is taking on the more liberal Charlie Crist in the Republican primary. In what looks to be a battle between grass-roots conservatives and the GOP Political class, Ingraham was very impressed with the message Rubio offered on her program and immediately offered to campaign for him against Crist. The Pro-Stimulus Governor/Obama ally Charlie Crist, meanwhile, immediately picked up the endorsement of NRSC Chair Jon Cornyn who earlier in the year endorsed Arlen Specter over conservative Pat Toomey just a week before Specter bolted to the Democrats, as well as picked up the endosement of John McCain. Crist holds a 53-18% lead over the more conservative, and lesser-known former House State Speaker Rubio, according to the latest Mason-Dixon poll. However, that is a 10 point jump for Rubio since a poll taken 2 weeks prior. There is a long way to go until the primary and Charlie Crist may be in for a rude awakening. If grassroots Floridians have their way Crist will have made a huge mistake in giving up a sure thing in running for a second term as Governor. Laura Ingraham has the 6th most popular radio talk show in America, and is the most listened to female political host according to Talkers Magazine 2009. Expect many more talk show hosts to get behind Rubio in the coming months, hopefully making this an interesting race.

What you said!!!
Good for her.
Crist’s candidacy and NRSC endorsement could be a blessing in disguise. Crist intimidates the strongest Democrats into not running, and then Rubio defeats Crist in the primary and coasts in the general election against a second-tier Democrat. Sounds like the ideal senario to me!
Of Course, Crist could always pull a Specter and jump the the Demo party...
Conventional wisdom says US Representative Kendrick Meek will win the democrat primary.
If Rubio can’t beat this guy in Florida, then all is lost anyways.
There is no good argument for Porkulus loving Crist.
This is just the first shot across the bow of the entrenched, failed, old guard GOP. In the last election there was a lot of conservative independent money (such as mine) on the sidelines. We need to roll out the young firebrand conservatives that the shrinking MSM just hates and the growing alternative media loves.
Palin, Coulter, Ingraham, Bachman, Liz Cheney, Malkin, Crowley......Conservative women are on the front lines and doing the heavy lifting trying to restore the Repewbican party. What happened to the men?
Looking for their balls...
HOORAY Laura! Thank you...and thanks to Marco Rubio (never heard of him before right now...but I can trust Laura’s judgement on replacing a RINO with a principled candidate).
Are there any men left in Washington?
Good post BUMP EG. Thanks.
I heard of him for the first time yesterday.
Watch this video of his farewell address to the Florida House of Representatives. Be sure to not miss the end! We’ll be hearing alot about this young man:

When in Floride - do not forget Lt Col Allen West’s race to unseat Klein.
Rubio ping
It’s nice to see talk radio celebs “walk the walk”.
If Sarah follows suit, and supports fellow conservative candidates, it will raise her standing and gather “political coinage”.
Gov. Palin was in GA after 08 election for their run off
supporting Saxby Chambliss
Gov. Palin right now as an elected and active Gov.
doesn’t hit the campaign road at every turn.
Romney is busy watching the waves roll in at his home around 10 miles from me here in San Diego.
He has more time than votes.
That’s nice. Next time tell the ditz to support the conservative candidates for president as well.
Thanks very much. Hooray Marco Rubio!
Hey, looks like I’ll have a chance to meet Laura!
