Does anyone else think Kris Allen, who was very good won American Idol over Adam Lambert who was great because Red Staters siad "No!" to Lmabert for reasons other than talent? Lambert is the best ever on the show, but I think he was denied because Red State America has had "enough." I hope I'm wrong, just thinking out loud.
Whatever it is that Adam would “bring back”, it would not be “rock”. Anything “rock” can not be discovered through American Idol. A gayass rockless version of rock, perhaps.

Lambert is an infinitely superior performer to Allen, who is a generic singer that will quickly fade into the background, maybe tour with Bucky Covington...magritte
The right guy won the contest. Adam may have a future in music, but most likely on Broadway, or if he is willing to start a band.
Most of what he did that people liked was scream on key. I just could not see me listening to a song of his if it came on the radio as I was driving. Music is supposed to soothe and entertain, not irritate.
Hey now,, Taylor Hicks is in the Grease musical produtcion touring the country. .. uhhh.. lol .. we’ll see.. Kris has more potential and less gray hair. :-)
If I want to hear a gay man singing rock, I'll listen to Judas Priest, thank you very much. And Adam is no Rob Halford.

I figured Kris would win because he was really, really cute and innocent looking and he probably got most of Gokey’s votes.
OTOH, Adam was a great rocker and rarely hit a bad note but his voice wasn’t pleasant to me. Even with his make-up and some of the gross pictures I saw on the internet, I kind of liked him and wish he’d realize what a lost path he is on.
I didn’t vote, so you can’t blame any of it on me.

Top 40 Mainstream then? According to Allaccess.com, currently in the top 40 there’s 2 Kelly Clarkson, 1 Daughtry, and David Cook at 48. In terms of Rock in Mainstream Top 40, there’s some rock there, no doubt - Shinedown is at 5, AAR is at 9, Nickelback at 26, Offspring at 31, Plain White T’s at 32.
There’s really no shortage of rock on Top 40 Mainstream. Now, I’m not saying this is good stuff. But you ain’t getting good stuff from American Idol.

The tide started turning against Adam after the Carrie Prejean fiasco, which I think had a lot to do with Adam loosing.
I doubt that. I think the pimping was his downfall...although not his fault. He is on the cover of Entertainment Weekly by himself...What BS is that? Katy Perry having that stupid cape with his name alone...Ridiculous. and Simon pimping him a few weeks ago all had a lot to do with his loss.
