Whatever it is that Adam would “bring back”, it would not be “rock”. Anything “rock” can not be discovered through American Idol. A gayass rockless version of rock, perhaps.

Think Freddie Mercury.

I apologize to everyone who didn't know the result before seeing it on this post. It was not very thoughtful and East coast-centric. I just wasn't thinking because it was such a surprise ending. Even Kris said something about Adam as the winner.

Freddy Mercury was a contestant on American Idol?

The point is AI is a not rock, show. AI is fine when it sticks to its core, which is AC.

I cannot accept that rock, which requires authenticity, can result from anything AI.

AI is a lame show, the winners are chosen by people who listen to AC stations and Top 40 stations. Typically middle age women or preteen girls. Not rock fans. I think that AI appeals to gays as well.

This entire process cannot result in quality rock. It can result is mediocre commerical top 40 / rock like Daughtry or mediocre commerical top 40 like Kelly Clarkson or mediocre commerical country like Underwood or Pickler.

Point being, AI gives us mediocre commercial crap which has gotten so much advertising on FOX week after week that it’s bound to be at least somewhat successful.

AI acts ain’t saving anything.
