BROOK PARK, Ohio - Ford Motor Co. is holding a grand reopening for a suburban Cleveland engine plant that had been closed for two years.
The factory in Brook Park is now producing a new line of fuel-efficient engines that will be standard on the Ford Taurus SHO and optional on the Lincoln MKS and MKT, and on Ford Flex cars.

Ford, avoiding turbo Diesels in cars in the US for more decades to come.
The automakers Obama “rescued” are going bankrupt and shipping jobs overseas as they collect billions of our tax dollars. Ford is standing on its own and bringing back jobs. The democrats must be proud of their Dear Leader’s accomplishment.

I have always owned Fords and will continue to do so.
Finally, some great news for Ohio!
I just returned from a visit to Northeastern Ohio - the manufacturing base is really hurting up there right now. The "hope and change" is overwhelming.
Good plant by the airport. When in Cleveland’s western suburbs, you can smell the phenolic sand binder when the wind is from the south. The smell of jobs and money!

The WSJ loves to throw a few liberals into the mix - this author (Scott Sperling) appears to be one of them.

Seems to me that government should not be writing any kind of check to the auto industry, whether strings are attached or not. Regardless of the dialect, socialism is socialism and is certainly NOT capitalism.

Wait till 0’s rapidly advanced CAFE standards hits Ford and they need billions to retool and make little unsafe roller skate cars and need a bailout to compete with USGM then their board gets replaced with Obamabots.
...and since when is it’s the GOVERNMENT’S job to “restructure” a buisness?
The best thing that could have happened to these two companies would have been a bankruptcy filing. That way they could do away with the union and brought in a successful company model.

I read some where their sales are up 35% from last year! Good for them.
Has anyone seen a story onthe criteria Chrylser is using to decide who stays open and who gets shut down?
Anecdotaly, I know of two dealerships that were the most successful in their markets, but are being closed, which is business idiocy.
It makes one wonder if somebody should look into this (Obama contributions a factor?). But with the lazy blinkered journalism we have in America, I wont hold my breath.
