CNN anchor John Roberts failed to catch former Vice President Al Gore make a significant exaggeration about his criticism of the Bush administration in its early years during an interview on Fridays American Morning. When asked about former Vice President Dick Cheneys recent criticism of the Obama administration, Gore claimed that he had waited two years after I left office to make statements that were critical, and then of the policy. In reality, he made a significant policy speech denouncing the Bush administrations pre-war policy towards Iraq in September 2002. CNN itself reported on the speech, which was made in San Francisco in front of the Commonwealth Club. Later, when Gore said that he didnt want to get dragged into an argument with Dick Cheney about what hes getting into, Roberts joked sarcastically, Oh, Mr. Vice President, you know I would never try to do that with you.
Robertss taped interview of Gore aired in three parts, and his questions to Gore about Cheney came during the second part, which began at the bottom half of the 7 pm Eastern hour of the CNN program. The anchor asked the former vice president, You were a big critic of the previous administration, particularly in the run-up to the war and thereafter. What do you think of Vice President Cheneys statements that the Obama administrations policies are leaving this country less safe?

It’s not a failure if done on purpose.
The Memory Hole, Winston.
inconvenient truth
As I noted on an earlier thread, Gore didn’t wait two years. He initiated a new run for the Presidency at Nashville in January 2002 and founded a new PAC at that time. He thereafter actively opposed the Bush administration.
In reality, he made a significant policy speech denouncing the Bush administrations pre-war policy towards Iraq in September 2002.
OK, so instead of "two years" after he left office it's 1 year and 8 months?
Yeah, it's not strictly correct, but there are bigger lies to catch.
Well, he wasn’t far off..it was 20 months, not 2 years. But Bush didn’t spend his first 100 days blaming everything on Clinton/Gore, or threatening to prosecute the former administration. Gore also accused Bush of betraying his country; he could learn a lot about civility from Cheney.
No surprise here..
CNN lies, and has become the stage of choice for Leftists to lie about EVERYTHING....
A POX on their ass.
AL BORE IS THE LARGEST PIECE OF EXCREMENT ON THE PLANET
John Roberts? Mr. Blow-dry himself? LOL, no, I wouldn’t expect much from that news reader.
Has CNN applied for a Bailout yet? Anyone seen their ratings.
Remind me again, who the hell is Gore?
If Fat slob Al had the balls and integrity to publicly tell Clinton to Resign during impeachment, he would have been president for 10 years. What a loser schmuck.
Exactly. It's not like Cheney is out there starting this - he's RESPONDING to attacks from the current Administration. What he's saying is a response to what's already been said by the other side...
This place could use a nice sarcasm emoticon. ;-)
AL BORE IS THE LARGEST PIECE OF EXCREMENT ON THE PLANET
I dunno about that, Certainly he is in the top ten.
But when you look at his competition, Obama, Rahm , Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Chuck the Schmuck, Jabba the Hut Nadler. Barney Frank, Hillary, Bill,Barbra Streisand, Maxine Waters, Charlie Rangel,Keith Olberman, Damn I could go on until the bandwidth runs out.
Hard to choose,
Gore? He’s that chicken little sky is falling guy who burns more of a “carbon footprint” than Wrigley Field does on a daily basis. He makes a nice little income doing so.
Gee Al... do you need to step out for some tea?
