President Barack Obama has accepted the resignation of an official who authorized the presidential aircraft flyover in lower Manhattan last month, CBS 2 has learned.
Louis Caldera, the director of the White House Military Office, handed in his resignation Friday. The news comes as Defense Secretary Robert Gates says the Air Force flyover that sparked a panic was not adequately reviewed and approved by senior service and department officials.
The flyover was arranged as part of a photo opportunity for White House records. The official photo was released along with Caldera's resignation and the official report on the flyover.

I didn’t buy their story before I saw this crappy picture...I sure ain’t buying it now.
For the vast number of people that are being thrown under that bus, Nobama better equip the bus with they kinds of wheels and tires that are on the Monster Trucks that tour the country putting on great shows.

FoxNews guy said this one is AF2 (2nd plane designated for the Prez) and was so designated because TOTUS was not on board this flight, thusly, not identified as AF1.

Can we zoom in close enough to read the tail number? Is it that same “backup” plane that is supposed to have been there?
Anyway, based on the pictures from the ground at about the time the plane was in position for this picture, the only other plane in the area, a Red Tail fighter jet, was not in a position to have taken this picture.

If this is the real deal, they need a better photographer because this picture is not very good, but then they did take it from an F-16. What a waste of tax dollar money.
Where is the manifest for who was on board because this picture is not worth $300,000+. Also would love to know who needed a training flight to NYC since ZERO and his buffoon VP continually are on the move using these planes and the crews would have to be up to date.

Caldera approved the picture, but who proposed it? Also, I thought that they said that it was a photo op for campaign use, now it was just for a record?
