Awful early to be posting this kind of crap isn’t it?
For most people, what counts as good experience in any subject is often the result of bad judgment. Regardless of Miss Palin's pregnancy and birth, she is still 100% correct that abstaining from all sexual activity is the only guaranteed method of avoid all consequences of sexual activity.
Some have to learn the hard way. I’m gonna give her a break.
She ought to simply say.....
MOM WAS RIGHT
She’s a kid.
She found out the truth the hard way, as so many others do.
With all due respect, my FRiend, I think she should speak out. There are NOT enough people her age saying this. They ignore us old geezers (adults). We’re aren’t cool enough, dude. LOL
Maybe I’m wrong, but I see no downside to Bristol Palin explaining to her contemporaries exactly what they can expect if they think sex at 17 is without consequences.
She could have talked about what a louse her boyfriend turned out to be, but that would be sinking to his level.
Former Drug uses advocate against drug use all the time. Lots of people who had bad experiences against doing bad things, end up speaking against the behavior. There is nothing wrong with what Bristol is doing. I am sick of Conservatives who think only people who are crystal clean can speak against evil. I have news for you, no one is crystal clean. In the paradigm you advocate, no one is qualified to speak out against evil.
She found out “safe sex” doesn’t necessarily work and is recommending the better option.
I’ll be using Bristol Palin’s experience to illustrate the point to my children when they are of age.
They know who she is and they know that she is an unwed mother.
That is fine too. Many young girls seem to find such guys to be attractive. By pointing out just what kind of a jerk he is, maybe the girls could be educated as to how this is a bad thing.
As a dad myself I often wonder how I will approach this subject when my daughter is a teenager in 12-13 years. Whenever a parent of one of my younger relatives asks me to tell the girl about it, I simply tell her straight out that as teens, all guys want is sex, and they will say and do anything to get into bed with you, but if you keep your legs closed, you will be fine. I tell them I know this to be true because when I was a teenage boy, that's all we thought about.
For the young boys, I simply have them watch and smell as I change my daughter's poopy diapers and tell them if they want to enjoy doing this as a teenager, then by all means go and have sex. I know this may not be the best approach, but as for shock value, it does seem to hit hard.
Good for her, she is trying to say “Don’t make the mistake I made.” (Obviously). Just voicing my support for the Palin family, I think they’re great and I long for the day when they scare the libs anew.
I also fantasize about Sarah wiping that *&%$#@ grin off Barry’s face in 2012.

He was probably a louse to begin with. On perfect display by whoring himself on the MSM, instead of maintaining some dignity and trying to be a good father to his child.
What they should see is what a struggle it is to have a baby as a teenager. They should be told about the endless sleepless nights, the screaming, the self-denial motherhood requires, the expense, the exhaustion, the limitations.
I agree... all this proves is that Sarah was right all along.
