The fearmongers are out in force and are using all types of propaganda to proclaim the Obama administration as incompetent, weak, un-American, Marxist and socialist. They also are frightening some Americans by telling them Obama will confiscate their guns; thus, we are having a run on guns and ammunition.
Some Republicans have endorsed the fearmongers, and are using the same tactics. Sooner or later, the hate groups will come out of the caves.
The tea parties, a strategy of the fearmongers, were formed to frighten us about the national debt, higher taxes and the theft of our country. It is very strange that many of those who protested were in the income level whose taxes were lowered. The tea parties were promoted by Dick Armey, a former Republican House majority leader, and conservative talk-show pundits. Armey is now a big-money lobbyist.
Also, former Republican Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich is making tons of money lobbying for the health care industry and pharmaceutical companies. Come June when the Obama administration will take up the health care issue, Gingrich will be spreading fear about all Americans having access to health care.
We don't need fear. We need action.
Fearmongering has become a big industry, and some people are becoming wealthy spreading terror. Will Obama's recovery plan stimulate the economy? At least I hope. It is a plan in place, and we all need to support it for the welfare of our nation and each one of us.
The Republicans failed to present a plan and all they did was to say no to the opposing party's plan. Yes, the Republicans will lose out if they continue down the fearmongering path. They need to rid themselves of some fanatics, radical agendas and sectionalism, and return to their roots.
Some true Republicans have stated recently that the Cotton South will ultimately kill the Republican Party.

So, if a Republican happens to agree that "the Obama administration is incompetent, weak, un-American, Marxist and socialist" - YOUR unfounded claim that this is simply "fearmongering" negates these claims.

WOW - maybe you DID understand what the protests were about! You SHOULD be frightened about these things and ensure that your elected officials are doings thier jobs! An icon of the left once said "Blind faith in your leaders will get you killed.
Your only argument - which you have failed to provide ANY evidence for is that "fearmongers" are responsoble for the claims - and - since they are "fearmongers", they are wrong.
Not a real great debating strategy - but one likely to win you a nice chardonay the next time you are in the bar with the boys.

This letter writer is just another one that sits behind their desk and is either told or dreams this stuff up.
It’s even scarier to think that we paid for this dork’s education.

I'm about ready to puke if I hear this “party of no” one more time. I can not think of one initiative in the last eight years that a majority of rats supported in Congress that was put forth by W (other than shamnesty). These rats demand “action.” The problem that I see with this is that if you don't know what you're doing you can “change” things in ways you or any one else never dreamed of, and not always for the better. I'm convinced that if the economy does recover it will be despite Zero and his minions, not because of them. Besides every one knows that the economy is just one facet of what's going on today. The pathetic apology tour not withstanding, there are a myriad of other issues that our community organizer and chief can do incalculable damage with.
So many things to respond to in this woman’s letter. Talk about fear-mongering and propaganda! I just LOVE how they always use that tactic in demonizing their opponents. So incredibly predictable. Frankly, it’s starting to fall on deaf ears when on looks at the TRUE support numbers of Obama. And, I’ll bet this letter writer spent the last 8 years saying Bush was “out-of-touch”. Wow... What irony that would be!!!

One quick thing... The whole “Cotton South” swipe... That was code for calling all tea-party supporters racists, was it not?
Sounds like this letter writer is actually a LIBERAL pretending to be Conservative, because no real conservatives would phrase the closing like THAT. Absolute code-speak for saying the tea-partiers are members of evil hate groups, as the writer mentions in the earlier part of his letter.

Most “REAL REPUBLICANS” are VERY quick to point out, disavow, and not stand for racism — unlike the Democrats who view racism and oppression as a political strategy to be embraced... Much the same as using the FEAR-MOTIVATION of being associated with racists in your letter above! Again such irony, and they actually think that people can’t see through this? Well, at least people besides the brain-washed?
