Jeb Bush to Help Rebuild GOP
Newsmax ^ | 5/02/09

Republican political figures in recent days announced policy programs to challenge President Barack Obama's agenda and to counter perceptions that the GOP is a listless, leaderless "party of no."

In doing so, they're highlighting their differences with the Republican National Committee's political strategy.

House and Senate Republican lawmakers were the latest to launch a group independent of the RNC, announcing the formation of the National Council for a New America.

The group comprises potential GOP presidential candidates who plan town hall-style meetings to promote ideas different from Obama's. Their aides and allies have been vexed by the lack of comprehensive alternatives put forward by the national Republican leadership.

"One of the things that's constantly stated by the Obama administration spokesman is that the Republicans are the 'party of no,' and that the conservatives don't have ideas," said former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, whose brother, President George W. Bush, many blame for the party's unpopularity. "But conservatives, in general, have not done a great job on putting forward their ideas."

Really? I think the exact same thing about Palin, R-Retard. An individual should be able to complete a few sentences in a row without a grammatical abortion before running for president, no?

REALLY? Buddy, you're on the wrong bloody forum to be sprouting THAT kind of nonsense.

Jeb is surfacing for a reason.

My guess is that he's setting up to run for senator from Florida, then on to the presidency at a later date.

It's important to read the whole article here. McCain is in this group Bush is working with to "restore" the Republican party.

That did it for me. My GOP tent is not large enough for camel McCain to even stick his nose into.

Do you not see the irony of your own (boorish, crude, & inane) statement? Hint: it's in the second sentence.

Now, moving forward -

"With Governor Palin, it is just the opposite. The conservative intelligentsia who react against her have remarkably little to say that will stand up to scrutiny. People who actually dealt with her, before she became a national figure, have expressed how much they were impressed by her intelligence." - excerpted from this article by Thomas Sowell

...and I would bet that folks would take Mr. Sowell's word before they would that of 'mbraynard'.

Former governors Mitt Romney and Jeb Bush joined Congressman Eric Cantor to talk health care, the economy and national security at the first town hall meeting for the National Council for a New America on Saturday. But the group steered clear of abortion and same-sex marriage -- wedge issues that have led to the defection of moderates and independents.

Then we have Sarah Palin.

I believe the Bushes are decent people (I also know I could be wrong about that). But they need to back the heck off. Any effort on the part of the Bush machine to put another one of them in the White House will only help ruin the GOP and confine it to permanent failure.

Ditto

It is going to be another beating if GOP runs Palin. I like her, she is awesome in Alaska, but too much damage and it is the media’s fault primarily. She has a lot to overcome

The Bush family should follow the Taft family into oblivion.

Jeb is certainly the best of the ‘Bush’ bunch, but he will do nothing but keep the bush hatred stirred. We need to purge the Bush family from the Republican party once and for all. They will create, and have created, nothing but messes. Please go away Jeb!

Palin is a pioneer cut from the same cloth as our founders. You fear her and you should just as you should fear those of us that defend true Liberty. History has shown us tyrannical fascists many times and they will be again defeated with Pioneer Spirit (SARAH). After all, field dressing game is a life skill that can be applied in many ways. Get ready and be sure to chose you team wisely.

A REAL Conservative agenda will take electing REAL Conservatives to Congress. What we have now is a republican Party that caves into Democrats on a regular basis. Conservative ideas are being squahed by a liberal leftist news media. We need news outlets that promote Conservative ideas.

The way GW left the WH and the Republican party a complete disaster, it would not surprise me that this is a calculated effort to inflict even more damage on conservatives. They undoubtedly know the absolute hatred for them, so to trot out Jeb must be a calculated effort. I can't believe any thinking person in the Republican party would ever dream of doing this.

And if we let the Marxists’s minions (that would be the press) take our few strong candidates out of the running, we’ll keep losing with the tepid likes of McCain and Dole.

I don’t want to follow their game plan, I want to stick with ours.

Adding to your list:

*-GWB never sought the arrest/prosecution of Sandy Berger for theft. ( my dream was to see SB manhandled out the door with cuffed hands raised above his head).

**-GWB never had Jamie Gorelick nailed /grilled for her "wall" built between FBI/CIA

***-GWB played wayyyyyyyyyyy too nice with the opposition.

But we knew something was up when he used the words "passionate conservative" in his first election.

For the fourth time in recorded history, I agree with the fraud Jesse Jackson:

What are the other three times?

I agreed when he said "We all came to this country in different ships, but we are all in the same boat now."
