A Mexico City toddler who became the first swine-flu death on U.S. soil spent a day with his family shopping at Houston's Galleria mall the day before he began to show symptoms, although it wasnt immediately clear where else in the city the child might have gone.
Cameron County Judge Carlos Cascos says the Brownsville family with whom the toddler was staying said they spent three nights in Houston just before returning to Brownsville, where he fell ill on April 8.
Health officials said Wednesday that the 23-month-old Mexico City boy arrived in Brownsville on April 4 and became ill four days later with a fever, followed by other flu-like symptoms. They said he had no outside contact once he was hospitalized on April 13. The family has shown no symptoms.
The boy, who was rushed back to Houston and was admitted to Texas Childrens Hospital on April 14, died Monday night of pneumonia.

Thanks for being there to set the world straight. Your sense of humor gets me through the tough times.
That’s what I figure. The Galleria Mall in Houston is wall to wall Muslims.
“Texas Childrens doctors would not elaborate on those underlying health problems. State health officials said the boy wouldnt likely have been infectious on the Mexico City-to-Matamoros commercial flight, though an investigation is still ongoing.”
That’s why we keep him around!
Well, that and he’s aces at dealing with recalcitrant leather-clad midgets.
Recalcitrant leather-clad midgets are something up with which I will not put.
This flu has a 10 day period I’ve heard?
That’s kind of nitpicky. It’s better to read the message for content. I’ve written and read posts that needed to be clarified because of a poor choice of words—had nothing to do with the shiftkey.
I was at the same Mall...should I dial 1-800-Ask-A-Liberal, if I need to go to a Government Doctor?
Ping to more info on the matter we were in discussion.
If only I had know it was written in humor...I get the message was just LOST!!
LoL
If you are over 65, mentally disabled, have pre-exisiting medical conditions or other criteria you will not qualify for medical treatment. They will provide a cemetery plot and a move in date.
Then this poor little boy probably infected a lot of Muslims because the Galleria Mall is filled with approximately 95 percent Muslims.
The thing is, any nice public space invites human trash. The Galleria is very swanky, but the folks walking the mall are oftentimes of a low caliber. I have observed, over time, that the Galleria has a fair share of thuggy male youth prowling around. They have no business being there, and if it was up to me they would NOT be there in the first place.
Just about every time I go to the Galleria I see Mexican nationals there. They're pretty easy to distinguish from illegal aliens.
That child and family were at Galleria Mall in Houston???? Gee, I always thought was an Upscale mall.......... how times have changed............
The Comical says “Ill Child Went To The Galleria”.
At under 2 years old, he did not make the decision to go there and get there on his own. HIS PARENTS BROUGHT HIM THERE.

Last night I read on some site that the incubation period for swine flu is 1 to 7 days —— who knows?
