I agree. Pres. Bush is probably worse than Carter and that’s saying something...he convinced Americans that Repubs are incompetent.

One offect of political correctness is that the Republicans are pressured not to debate in areas they can win.

What if a politician did some research about how many Asians are shut out of schools because of the need for quotas for other groups? He or she would be called a “hatemonger” and “appealing to our worst instincts.” In truth, it would get a lot of Asian votes.

Can anyone speak to the nature of society in Asia? Specifically, I’m curious if the Asians are ga-ga for socialism, but at the same time, they are hard workers and support family values, etc.

The media and the educational system hammer daily upon the theme that Republicans are anti-immigrant. The GOP hasn't mounted any visible defense against the constant drumbeat of this slander, and as a result is losing or has lost the East and South Asian voters, along with the Hispanic vote. Asians are both socially conservative and strong fans of free-market economies and strong individual work ethics. It's utterly absurd that these people are voting Democrat, and a tribute both to the overwhelming bias of the popular media and the utter futility of the Republican National Committee.

No doubt cowardly GOP congress played a role.

And yet they charge off the cliffs for the Rats.

The largest communist country in the world is China. They have a different idea of hard work than a traditional American.

Tell me about it....I worked for a US Congressman for 3 years.

They hire “professionals” to run campaigns, who only know how to pander to the MSM and the Dims.

This comes from decades upon decades of reacting to the liberal news media. It is a habit, and the only way to get elected.

This must end....we need a communications group to brainstorm some ideas to defeat these media bastards.

Toomey should have a good shot by then depending, of course, on the so-called swing of the pendulum.

I don’t see the pendulum swinging in PA.

Actually, Newt did that about 13 years ago.

We DO NOT want to be the majority, if that means we can’t implement Conservative policy. And keeping jack asses like Specter on the Repbulican roles, is a sure way to make sure we NEVER EVER have a chance to do it.

What good does it does us to have a majority, if our party members are voting with the Democrats?

I can’t believe how many people are so confused, that they can’t understand this concept.

Even when we had the majority, we weren’t able to move policy our direction. This concept is why.

The Asian bloc is the one I simply don’t understand. Frankly, the policies of the Rats more directly countervail the Asian ethic of hard work, family unity, and enjoying the fruits of one’s labor more than any other racial demographic.

I don't think cultural issues such as gun control help Republicans among Asians (I am Indian). I don't support gun control and understand the argument that legal gun ownership enables self-defense, but no one in my family has ever thought of buying a gun.

I doubt that Asians supported the Iraq war as much as whites did, and there is less of a military tradition among Asians than whites. The military tends to vote Republican.

The Dems have a number of blue dogs and are still advancing a leftist agenda...with all due respect, we will never advance anything if we remain in the minority.

It was a different era...PA has gone down the dark path like New York, Connecticut. I live near Pittsburgh.

I would never wish for such a thing. No American would. But you are correct. It’s going to take a big screw up for this to end well for the GOP.

You can convince yourself that those blue dogs are ours if you like, but what way did they vote when the big votes came down? That’s right, they voted with the Democrats.

Three of our bastards voted with the Democrats recently, to do in the Republican push.

How much more clear does it need to be?

How many Democrats in the house crossed over? How many Democrats in the Senate crossed over? How many Democrats in the Senate crossed over?

Our little libtards(R) have got to go IMO.

Look, I think you’ve got an argument to make, but I’ve had it with that concept. Sorry.

Asian leaders tend to be socialist/communist and the rest tend to follow (a generalization of course). This particular election they didn't like McCain who had previously voiced his dislike for "gooks". Some of the others were angry voters who felt that Bush betrayed them by overspending. Finally, Asians feel that they have been excluded from republican administrations.

No offense to my depressed GOP brethren here, but cut out the whining and blaming! I lived through 1994 - as, I suspect, did most of the others on this thread. If we look toward articulating a clear and Conservative agenda as an alternative to what has proven to be a very Liberal, Tax and Spend ( and spend, and spend, and spend . . .). Obama agenda, the GOP will come roaring back.

Now is the time for positivism, not negativism.

How many Democrats in the Senate crossed over?

On giving billions to ACORN, we got two to vote against (Nelson-Neb and KKK Byrd). I know it's slim pickings, but at least it's a start.

Well, for that bailout boondoggle, none did. We had just enough of our Senators go south to defeat us.

The same day as that vote, those two or three Senators should have been shown the door by the Republican Party IMO.
