Eight activists protesting the expulsion of aid groups in Darfur have been arrested in front of the Sudanese Embassy in Washington.
Humanitarian leaders and five U.S. lawmakers, including Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison and Maryland Rep. Donna Edwards, were led away in handcuffs Monday from the embassy after crossing a police line.
The activists are urging world leaders to take a stand against Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir's decision to expel 16 aid agencies from Darfur.

John Lewis can rot in there as far as I’m concerned.
“Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison “
Isn’t this the guy that was sworn in using the Koran? Now, is he FOR the death of Muslims, or is he FOR the death of Christians?
I’m really confused as to what he’s trying to promote here.
And Minnesota? SHAME ON YOU! (I know, Wisconsin isn’t quite there yet...but we’re getting close!)
And, yes. I know I spelled ‘Koran’ incorrectly, but I don’t know how to make all those ‘special letters and jiggles’ on my computer. ;)
...can we get them on something here?
Like illegally trying to represent the US to a foreign country? {Which is illegal for pretty much everyone except diplomats.}
Did they protest Odinga in Kenya and the violence there? I missed it if they did.
Koran is an OK spelling. Qu’ran is a more toney alternative.
Do you suppose Congressman Ellison ever went down there to protest the murder and deprivation of thousands and thousands of Christian Sudanese people at the hands of his Muslim brethren?
Qu’ran is the spelling that the fraud in the WH prefers to invoke, along with the muzzein call to prayer” the sweetest sound he ever heard”, it makes him feel more down to earth, yet global , too, and don’t forget that little trip to Pockeystan in the early 80’s that gave him ALL his foreign policy experience.
“...vote for the FairTax...”
There is nothing fair about the FairTax. Deal with reality - Stop Organized Chrime: Abolish The IRS. Get rid of ALL non-Constitutional spending. Personal Income Tax provides approx 1/3rd of Federal income. 56% of expenditures are outside Constitutional authority. Without personal income tax collections and without expenditures outside Constitutional authority we could have a balanced Federal budget.
Dig your name. Welcome home Brother.
Thanks for your service.

>Heres hoping Sudan has the death penalty for whatever these racist traitors are being accused of.
Agreed. And let’s hope that they can’t convince them of their “diplomatic immunity”.
Apparently you haven’t actually read the facts about the FairTax. It abolishes the 16th Amendment and the IRS. It also provides for a “prebate” system which offets the national sales tax — especially for those with lower income. There would be no federal income tax withheld from your pay, and no Social Security tax withheld. It would do away with 57,000 pages of IRS rules, regulations, forms, and instructions. Congress could no longer tinker with our lives by changing the tax code. Those who currently evade taxes, such as illegal aliens and other crooks, could not avoid paying the sales tax. Foreign tourists would help by paying part of our taxes when they visit the U.S.. Savings and investment would be encourage, not penalized. You control your taxes by how much you spend. Capital would flow to the U.S. and we would have an economic boom. Go to www.fairtax.org for details.
