The newspaper didn’t confirm if Solis had swine flu or not."

It’s said to be a weird combination of swine flu, duck flu, and two kinds of human flu, which is why there was some speculation it might be a bioweapon.
But if Smithfield has a huge pig farm down there, no doubt among all the Mexican animals and chickens and whatnot, then that could explain it, too.

This would be funnier if the poor man hadn’t died, but one thing it does make obvious is that this is certainly not striking only impoverished slum dwellers or folks in the rural areas. The early (March) cases in California were 2 children in counties near San Diego; I don’t know if they had any contact with poor or rural people either in the US or Mexico, but it’s highly unlikely that the director of the anthropological museum did.
The guy could have already been very sick when he met with Obama.
