In his campaign kick-off for U.S. Senate against John McCain, Republican Chris Simcox admitted Wednesday that he cast a ballot for McCain in November for president.
So, Simcox thinks McCain was fit to lead the free world but not represent Arizona in the U.S. Senate?
I had no choice, Simcox explained of his vote. Lets say Sarah Palin was acceptable, and that's who I voted for.
Which leads to an interesting question: Who will Gov. Palin support in this GOP primary?

Whatever our feelings about McCain, he was the one who thrust Palin on the national stage. She owes him a debt of gratitude for that, so I think it’s highly unlikely she would side with Simcox.
Or No McComment.
;-)!
She has a root canal scheduled that day. |
**Sheesh, these two bit journalists really ARE simpletons, aren’t they?
The choice was between McCain and O’bama - Simcox chose McCain.***
I wouldn’t give 2 bits for the ALL the journalists.
Nothing like eating our own as communism and fascism enters our government and culture.
If I were Palin, I would say that mccain can fight this battle on his own this time.
Also, the FIRST rule of politics:
Reward your friends.
The SECOND rule of politics:
Punish your enemies!
Politics is a business. It must be worked like any other business.
Good point - the assumption you make here is that Sara’s handlers are broght enuf to see that ‘no comment’ is the only correct/safe/long term answer to give.
Unfortunatly, her staff isn’t known for being all that bright. Sara is a nice lady, and she IS loyal to her friends. The friends aren’t all that politically smart.
Trouble is, she needs folks with National political savvy. That is something that is really thin on the ground here in Alaska. Mark Beg-ich is Senator now because NY loaned him a campain manager that knew the stuff....and the Dems dumped 5 million in negative ads on the AO.
Should Simcox beat McCain in the primary the Nat. GOP probably woun’t support him. Can’t have a divisive young upstart supported don’t ya know....
Nothing else matters.
Of course, I agree.
Besides, endorsements really aren’t worth a bucket of warm spit, in politics.
Group endorsements, like the NRA, NRLC, etc do mean something.
However, the public knows that politics are involved in any individual endorsement.
“Of course the Palin detractors (we know who they are)”...Mittwits.
Finished it for ya.
And thank goodness for that. Why in the world would an Alaska gov. come out to support a candidate for the AZ Senate Seat?
“Neutral - just like McCain, when asked about Palin for President.
“that she has enough on her plate running Alaska to get involved in Arizona politics, but she wishes McCain luck, and would support whoever wins the primary.”
That would be a perfect thing to say!
Considering McCain’s lame refusal to support her, Governor Palin should IMHO make a clear point of refusing to endorse a candidate in that race.
“With faint praise” and all.
I’m still hoping that most conservatives will vote for J.D. Hayworth! J.D. Hayworth would definitely be a much stronger conservative opponent to Senator McCain than Chris Simcox, J.D. has much more name recognition than Chris, and J.D. also shares all of Chris’s views on illegal immigration issues. J.D. HAYWORTH, PLEASE OFFICIALLY ENTER THIS RACE AND RUN AGAINST SENATOR JOHN McCAIN, AND CHRIS SIMCOX, PLEASE, THEN, LEAVE THIS RACE AND THEN FULLY ENDORSE J.D. HAYWORTH’S RUN FOR THIS U.S. SENATE SEAT! The previous sentence is seriously the best thing that can actually happen here in this race.
If, let’s say, a conservative with the support of former Cong. Hayworth entered the race, I think he would win despite Simcox, in fact Simcox might drop out.
People were waiting a long time for a challenger and when no one entered Simcox did.
I would vote for Simcox, would enough registered Republicans?
You are right they are scared, but the fact is they are in no way Americans or worth consideration.
